The Super Bowl kicked off on Sunday night and it didn\u2019t take very long before we got a good dose of controversy from the officials on the field. The Eagles decided to go for it on fourth down, with Jalen Hurts connecting with AJ Brown on a deep ball down the right sideline, but officials called offensive pass interference on Brown. <\/p>\n
He barely touched Kansas City defensive back Trent McDuffie, causing McDuffie to go to the ground. And that\u2019s why officials threw the flag. Plenty of people were immediately upset with the call including Tom Brady and Mike Pereira, who are on the broadcast.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a big, physical, strong receiver. Just getting off the press on McDuffie. Aww, don\u2019t like that one bit. This is too critical of a game. The hand-fighting is going on down the field. What do you think, Mike?\u201d Brady asked. <\/p>\n
\u201cCertainly I agree when you look at, there\u2019s hand-fighting. There\u2019s a little bit of shove at the end and a trip. I think it\u2019s one that did not need to be called,\u201d Pereira explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always thought in these games you let the players play. It should be decided on the field. Don\u2019t like that call to start the game,\u201d Brady finished.<\/p>\n
