Now just two days away from the OU softball season. One big question about the Sooners is how will this pitching rotation come together?<\/p>\n

Might not be a dominant ace, but there are a lot of nice pieces for pitching coach Jen Rocha to work with.<\/p>\n

Thoughts on OU 2025 season?<\/h2>\n

I think we\u2019re just really excited to get started. My soul has been somewhat rejuvenated with really starting from ground zero with a very young group. But really excited. We\u2019ve been working hard. I think we could all say we\u2019ve been making mistakes, but they\u2019re valuable mistakes, so we learn from them. I\u2019m ready to take this group on the road. I\u2019m really excited about what this is going to look like. It\u2019s not going to be your traditional look that you\u2019ve seen in the last four years, but it still has all the championship mindset, mentality, grind, grit, humility that is coming after.<\/p>\n

Pitching rotation?<\/h2>\n

I think you\u2019re gonna see a lot of confusion from the other team because we\u2019re gonna be bringing in pitchers whenever and however, as many times as needed. Being honest right now, Sam Landry is leading. this group. But we\u2019ve got a freshman, Audrey Lowry, who is really starting to be a tough pitcher for these guys to face. She\u2019s very unassuming. She looks \u2014 but her ball moves. She\u2019s throwing the ball hard. Paytn Monticelli has improved tremendously. KD has experience. She\u2019s doing her thing. Bella Smith, you did not see in the fall but she\u2019s ready to come in. So I really like what we have going on.<\/p>\n

Ranked No. 3 despite all the departures?<\/h2>\n

I think it\u2019s just respect for the program. Nobody knows this team, right? I\u2019m still learning about it. We\u2019re all still learning about each other, so just respect over the course of the years. And it\u2019s an honor to feel that way, because people out there, coaches out there, just believe that we work hard and that we\u2019ll try to get ourselves ready. So I take it as a compliment.<\/p>\n
