Caitlin Clark<\/a><\/strong> is coming home to Iowa<\/a><\/strong>. The talented WNBA superstar will get a chance to visit the old stomping grounds for a preseason game with the Indiana Fever.<\/p>\n

The Fever announced Thursday that it will play a preseason game against the Brazilian National Team on May 4, 2025 at 6 p.m. ET on the campus of the University of Iowa.<\/p>\n

The former college star will likely draw an insane amount of people for the one-time showcase, which will put Caitlin Clark back on her old home floor for one night.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe couldn\u2019t be more excited to play at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and we know Iowa fans will deliver an unforgettable homecoming for Caitlin,\u201d Indiana Fever president of basketball operations Kelly Krauskopf<\/strong> said in a press release. \u201cCountless Hawkeye fans have become Fever fans, and we consider them family. That\u2019s what will make this preseason matchup so special for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the latest in a special string of events for Caitlin Clark, who became a legend during her time with the Hawkeyes. In addition to the preseason game on campus, Clark will also be honored this weekend.<\/p>\n

Iowa plans to retire her jersey<\/strong><\/a> at Sunday\u2019s game against second-ranked USC<\/a><\/strong> at 1:30 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Caitlin Clark turns down NBA 3-point shootout<\/h2>\n

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark won\u2019t participate in the NBA\u2019s All-Star special 3-point shootout<\/strong><\/a> in San Francisco in mid-February, and the reason might surprise you.<\/p>\n

Clark\u2019s representatives at Excel Sports told ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania<\/strong><\/a> that Clark \u201cwants her first three-point contest to be at WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

While a bit of a bummer for the NBA, which has pushed to highlight the WNBA more in recent months, the move makes sense for Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n

The former Iowa<\/a><\/strong> star has done everything in her power to advance only on merit, rather than the superstar brand appeal that she has as arguably the face of women\u2019s basketball these days.<\/p>\n
