Florida<\/a><\/strong> landed a massive commitment on Monday night from Picayune (Miss.) Picayune Memorial four-star linebacker Jamonta Waller<\/a><\/strong>. His decision elevated the Gators\u2019 2024 recruiting class<\/a> in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Florida\u2019s group is now No. 2 in the country, as well as No. 2 in the SEC<\/a><\/strong>. It contains 16 players and is composed of 11 four-stars and five three-stars. <\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 I was feeling good about Florida because they gave off a good impression the first time I visited there,\u201d Waller told On3\u2019s Chad Simmons<\/a>. \u201cAnd that\u2019s how they got the OV. They just made me feel wanted and like I was a top priority for them and I\u2019m needed there. That\u2019s really what it took it over the top.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not used to losing and seeing those guys [who committed], they\u2019re on the same page as me. They want to get the Swamp back to where it used to be. And I thought that was pretty cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

Florida recruiting has been on a roll recently <\/h2>\n

It has been a big three days for the Gators. Since June 17, head coach Billy Napier<\/a><\/strong> and his staff have landed pledges from Waller, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star linebacker Aaron Chiles<\/a><\/strong>, Portal (Ga.) four-star tight end Amir Jackson<\/a><\/strong>, Clinton (N.C.) four-star defensive lineman Amaris Williams<\/a><\/strong>, Dublin (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Nasir Johnson<\/a><\/strong>, Atlanta (Ga.) South Gwinnett three-star offensive tackle Marcus Mascoll<\/a><\/strong> and Fairburn (Ga.) Creekside three-star defensive lineman Michai Boireau<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Waller, Mascoll and Boireau have all chosen the Gators since this morning. Other players who have pledged to Florida this month include Schwabisch Hall (Germany) three-star offensive tackle Noel Portnjagin<\/a><\/strong> and Baltimore (Md.) Charles Herbert Flowers three-star offensive tackle Mike Williams<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Napier and Co. now have pledges from five top-100 prospects. They are Waller, McKinney (Texas) four-star safety Xavier Filsaime<\/a><\/strong>, Willis (Texas) four-star quarterback DJ Lagway<\/a><\/strong>, Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star linebacker Myles Graham<\/a><\/strong> and Largo (Fla.) four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI want to build it up and have the best players around me and have the No. 1 class in the country,\u201d Lagway told On3\u2019s Chad Simmons at the\u00a0On3 NIL Elite Series presented by Mizuno<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cFlorida has the best fanbase in the country,\u201d he added. \u201cI feel like you have everything you need in Gainesville and you can win the national championship. You can be anything you want to be there. I feel like we have all the resources and all the talent, honestly, to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n
