Alabama issued its\u00a0final availability report<\/a>\u00a0before its home game against LSU.<\/p>\n

Senior guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr.<\/a><\/strong> (Achilles) and Houston Mallette<\/a><\/strong> (knees) were both listed as out and will not play against the Tigers. Alabama true freshman forward Derrion Reid<\/a><\/strong>, listed as questionable on yesterday\u2019s initial report, is also out due to a lower-body injury.<\/p>\n

Alabama head coach Nate Oats<\/a><\/strong> offered an update on Reid on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s still not full-go in practice,\u201d Oats said<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s one of those deals where we thought he\u2019d be back a little quicker, but as the injury goes on, we\u2019re not gonna push it to where he\u2019s not out. So I don\u2019t know.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe play at night tomorrow, so I think he\u2019ll get a workout in tomorrow morning to see how he feels. But he\u2019s not a for-sure, he\u2019s not in. I think he\u2019ll probably be listed as questionable, would be my guess, tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Reid, Mallette and Wrightsell out \u2013 and Naas Cunningham<\/a><\/strong> redshirting this year \u2013 Alabama will be down to nine available scholarship players for its home game against LSU.<\/p>\n

The No. 4-ranked Crimson Tide (16-3, 5-1 SEC) and Tigesr (12-6, 1-4) are scheduled to square off at Coleman Coliseum. The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. CT on SEC Network.<\/p>\n

SEC Availability Report Policies<\/h2>\n

Beginning with the 2024-25 athletics season, all Southeastern Conference schools will provide public reports on the availability of student-athletes to participate in each conference game in the sports of football, men\u2019s and women\u2019s basketball and baseball.<\/p>\n

Prior to an SEC basketball game, an institution must issue the Initial Report the night before a game by 7 p.m. CT (or, for an institution that played a game the day before, by 11:00 am local time the day of the game, or two hours before the game starts, whichever is earlier).<\/p>\n

On game day, an institution must provide one Game Day Update no later than 90 minutes before game time. On the Game Day Update, the only permissible designation statuses are:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Available \u2013 Will dress for the game and be available to play<\/p>\n

\u2022 Game Time Decision \u2013 Coaches and\/or medical personnel need to evaluate the athlete in pre-game warmups before deciding whether he can participate in the game<\/p>\n

\u2022 Out \u2013 Not dressing or available for the game<\/p>\n
