He holds nearly 25 offers and took game visits to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/florida-gators\/\"><strong>Florida<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/houston-cougars\/\"><strong>Houston<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/oklahoma-sooners\/\"><strong>Oklahoma<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/texas-longhorns\/\"><strong>Texas<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/college\/texas-am-aggies\/\"><strong>Texas A&amp;M<\/strong><\/a> this fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Jr. will be taking Junior Day visits to the Longhorns on Jan. 25 and the Cougars on Feb. 1. The 5-foot-11, 155-pound recruit hears from both schools, along with Texas A&amp;M \u201cfrequently\u201d and is feeling like a key target to all three Lone Star State programs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cA lot of schools are showing love and it is hard to say who is showing me the most love,\u201d Bishop Jr. told On3. \u201cBut I definitely know that at those schools, I\u2019m their top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bishop Jr. has visited Texas A&amp;M around half a dozen times. Texas has had him on campus a few times and Houston once for the Cougars\u2019 game against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/kansas-state-wildcats\/\"><strong>Kansas State<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>on Nov. 2. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/rankings\/industry-player\/football\/2026\/?state=tx\">No. 36 player in Texas<\/a> wants to commit before his senior season and plans to take official visits ahead of announcing his college destination in the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also knows what he wants in a school.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking at the culture,\u201d said Bishop Jr., the No. 282 overall prospect and No. 21 athlete in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/rankings\/industry-player\/football\/2026\/\"><strong>2026 On3 Industry Ranking<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cI also care about how coaches are during games. It\u2019s not just about coaches talking with me one-on-one\u2026 but also about how coaches treat their players and other coaches.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bishop, Jr. talks Houston, Texas and Texas A&amp;M<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Houston<\/strong>: \u201cIt was my first offer, so they\u2019ve been showing me love for a really long time. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/willie-fritz-134302\/\"><strong>Willie Fritz<\/strong><\/a>, he actually coached my dad. He was my dad\u2019s PE teacher a long time ago in elementary school, so he had a really good connection with him. Him showing me love and being familiar with my family stands out. Houston\u2019s in my backyard. I grew up with a lot of Houston kids like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/keisean-henderson-158794\/\"><strong>Keisean Henderson<\/strong><\/a>. He\u2019s one of my best friends. Being able to feel the love down there in Houston in my backyard is cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Texas<\/strong>: \u201cAustin\u2019s a really beautiful place. It\u2019s not only that, but the coaches show love. I was able to talk to coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/steve-sarkisian-132832\/\"><strong>Steve Sarkisian<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>a couple of times at a game. Coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/terry-joseph-131461\/\"><strong>Terry Joseph<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>is a really good guy. He treats the players well and he talked to me. Being able to feel the love that a player would get was cool. I\u2019m also talking with coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/chris-jackson-177563\/\"><strong>Chris Jackson<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>as well and coach Jackson checks in with me before games sometimes.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Texas A&amp;M<\/strong>: \u201cCoach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/coach\/mike-elko-132763\/\"><strong>Mike Elko<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>came in and did the things that he said he was going to do. Him being able to build up the A&amp;M name and A&amp;M brand was cool to watch. They have a really good fanbase. No matter what game it is, people are showing love. They had one game at 11:00 a.m. and it was pretty full.
