Former Texas<\/a><\/strong> tight end Amari Niblack<\/a><\/strong> is staying in the SEC. Niblack is expected to sign with Texas A&M<\/a><\/strong>, a source told On3\u2019s Pete Nakos<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Niblack appeared in nine games for Texas in 2024, catching five passes for 33 yards. He joined the Longhorns program after starting his career at\u00a0Alabama<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While he played only sparingly this season, Niblack did make some big plays during his time at Alabama. He joined the Crimson Tide program after being ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 3 tight end in the country in the class of 2022,\u00a0per the On3 Industry Rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During his two seasons at Alabama, Niblack appeared in 24 games and made five starts. He was a solid receiving option for Alabama in 2023, catching 20 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns.<\/p>\n

The hope for Niblack was that he would be a big part of the Texas offense this past season but that ended up not happening. Now he will look to make his mark on the Texas A&M program during the 2025 college football season. The Aggies finished with an 8-5 (5-3) record in Year 1 under Mike Elko<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
