In true Tiger Woods<\/strong> fashion, his entrance for Tuesday\u2019s TGL<\/strong> event was a sight to behold. Through a wall of smoke, he walked out to \u201cEye of the Tiger\u201d by Survivor<\/strong> \u2013 putting the crowd on its feet.<\/p>\n

However, not everyone was impressed. Woods\u2019 son Charlie<\/strong> had a rough review of his dad\u2019s entrance to the second night of TGL.<\/p>\n

Tiger Woods was the last of the Jupiter Links GC<\/strong> team to be introduced to the crowd at the SoFi Center. Kevin Kisner<\/strong> and Max Homa<\/strong> went first, setting the table for the legend \u2013 and TGL co-founder \u2013 to round things out. It was quite the way to get things started.<\/p>\n

To Charlie Woods, though, the entrance was fairly predictable \u2013 but not because of the song choice. Instead, he thought his dad wouldn\u2019t look very comfortable walking out of the tunnel. That\u2019s exactly what he saw happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s discuss Tiger\u2019s walkout,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Marty Smith<\/strong> said on the broadcast. \u201cThis was a wonderful moment, a great reminder of his influence to so many millions of us. But I talked to Kis and Kis told me, he has never been that cool in his entire life. I also went up to the Jupiter Links box and talked to Charlie Woods \u2013 Tiger\u2019s son, who you just saw there on the broadcast. He\u2019s incredibly disappointed, Mattie.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said, \u2018Dad did exactly what I thought he was going to do,\u2019 which was be something awkward-ish. He gave him a four out of 10 on the walkout. Tiger, you\u2019re the greatest of all-time. We\u2019ve got to work on the walkout for next time, boss.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the rough entrance \u2013 well, in Charlie\u2019s eyes \u2013 Tiger Woods got the crowd buzzing with his opening tee shot. He threw the hammer down right away, meaning the hole would be worth two points, and proceeded to stripe it down the middle as Jupiter Links took on L.A. Golf Club<\/strong> Tuesday night. However, they halved the hole, meaning neither team got points.<\/p>\n

Tuesday marked Woods\u2019 debut in TGL, and his co-founder Rory McIlroy<\/strong> will make his first appearance Jan. 27 when Boston Common GC<\/strong> takes on Jupiter Links. That will put the two head-to-head as the innovative event continues to give golf a new look in the exhibition format.<\/p>\n
