Alabama defensive lineman Tim Keenan<\/a><\/strong> will return to the Crimson Tide for his final year of eligibility in 2025, he announced on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I committed to Alabama my goal was to win a National Championship and that\u2019s what I will work every single day to do, in Jesus\u2019 name,\u201d Keenan wrote in an Instagram post. \u201cWith 1 year of eligibility left, I\u2019ll be returning for the 2025 season. I can\u2019t wait to get back to work!\u201d<\/p>\n

Keenan has been with the Crimson Tide for four seasons, coming in as a 4-star recruit out of Birmingham in the 2021 recruiting cycle. He redshirted his first season and has spent the past three years gaining more and more playing time, serving as a starter this past season.<\/p>\n

As a full-time starter in 2024, Keenan totaled 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks, good enough for third on the team. Current mock drafts had Keenan projected anywhere from a day three pick in the NFL Draft (Rounds 4-7) to going undrafted, and he\u2019ll have another year to improve his draft stock.<\/p>\n

Outside of Keenan, Alabama\u2019s defensive tackle unit lost three names to the transfer portal in Jehiem Oatis<\/a><\/strong>, Hunter Osborne<\/a><\/strong> and Damon Payne<\/a><\/strong>, with Tim Smith<\/a><\/strong> also exiting due to exhausting his eligibility. The Crimson Tide\u2019s top returner at the defensive tackle spot is James Smith<\/a><\/strong>, who was a primary rotational player last season.<\/p>\n
