The Ohio State Buckeyes<\/a><\/strong> thoroughly dominated the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl on Wednesday night, outclassing them to the tune of a 41-21 whipping that won\u2019t soon be forgotten in Columbus. And while Buckeye fans have been quick to celebrate the big victory on social media, former OSU star Cardale Jones<\/a><\/strong> was ready to call plenty of them out on Twitter. And he came with an impassioned defense of head coach Ryan Day, who has been heavily criticized for losing to Michigan for four straight seasons. <\/p>\n

The Buckeyes dominated the Ducks in every way, shape, and fashion on Wednesday, outgaining them 500 total yards of offense to 276 total yards. And Jeremiah Smith delivered a masterful performance to fuel the Buckeyes.<\/p>\n

Smith<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is one of the best prospects the game has seen in quite some time. The uber-talented\u00a0wideout played like it on Wednesday night in the Rose Bowl<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Pasadena, allowing the Buckeyes to jump all over the Oregon Ducks in their College Football Playoff Quarterfinal matchup. And they didn\u2019t look back, coasting to a 41-21 Rose Bowl victory. Smith was dominant, hauling in seven catches for 187 receiving yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n

He was named the\u00a0Rose Bowl offensive MVP following the game<\/a>. And the 187 receiving yards set the\u00a0school receiving yardage record for a single game<\/a><\/strong>. Cris Carter set the previous record in 1985, which also happened in the Rose Bowl. Not only that, Smith also shattered the Big Ten record for the most receiving touchdowns by a true freshman.<\/p>\n
