IOL Kyle Altuner<\/a> has signed with Virginia Tech<\/a><\/strong> from the NCAA Transfer Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Altuner just finished his lone season with West Virginia<\/a><\/strong>. He did not appear in a game with the Mountaineers as a true freshman this fall.<\/p>\n

Altuner, a native of Olney, Maryland, played\u00a0high school football<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Good Counsel<\/a>. He was the No. 403 overall recruit there as a three-star prospect in\u00a0the 2024 cycle<\/a>. He also rated as\u00a0a Top-40 IOL<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0a Top-15 player out of his state<\/a>. That\u2019s according to\u00a0the On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. With that rating, he was the top signee from\u00a0last year\u2019s recruiting class<\/a>\u00a0for WVU.<\/p>\n

Now, per the latest in On3\u2019s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players<\/a>, Altuner was the No. 49 IOL<\/a> and the No. 509 overall transfer.<\/p>\n

With that, Altuner is the ninth addition in the portal during this cycle for the Hokies<\/a>. He actually comes to Blacksburg alongside another offensive lineman for the Mountaineers in Tomas Rimac<\/a> (No. 3 IOL, No. 37 overall). They\u2019ll also come to VT with CB Isaiah Brown-Murray<\/a> (East Carolina)<\/a><\/strong>, three running backs in Terion Stewart<\/a> (Bowling Green)<\/a><\/strong>, Marcellous Hawkins<\/a> (Central Missouri), and Cameron Seldon<\/a> (Tennessee)<\/a><\/strong>, and then three safeties in Sherrod Covil<\/a> (Clemson)<\/a><\/strong>, Tyson Flowers<\/a> (Rice)<\/a><\/strong>, and Isaiah Cash<\/a> (Sam Houston State)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
