Brady Cook has Missouri off and running in the Music City Bowl against Iowa. The Tigers quarterback had seven rushing attempts in the first quarter for 33 yards, in addition to getting off to a hot start through the air.<\/p>\n
On one of his rushing attempts, Missouri added some extra yards on the end of Cook\u2019s run as Xavier Nwankpa was called for a personal foul for hitting Cook after he slid.<\/p>\n
Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz was asked at the end of the first quarter about that run by Brady Cook, the late hit, and how it might impact the rest of the game.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, I think it lets the team know it\u2019s going to be a tough day and we\u2019re going to have to really compete,\u201d Eli Drinkwitz said. \u201cAnd obviously he\u2019s setting the tone for us right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
Missouri and Iowa both started hot on offense as the Tigers tied the score at 14-14 early in the second quarter when Brady Cook threw a touchdown pass to receiver Marquis Johnson.<\/p>\n
Eli Drinkwitz also spoke about what it\u2019s going to take, on both sides of the ball, for Missouri to come out on top against Iowa.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, we\u2019re going to have to figure out how to run the football outside of Brady Cook,\u201d Drinkwitz said. \u201cAnd then defensively we\u2019re going to have to be able to settle in. We didn\u2019t really settle in on that first drive.\u201d<\/p>\n
