Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons<\/a><\/strong> was visibly and emotionally wrecked after his team\u2019s game against Cincinnati this weekend, with those emotions spilling over into the locker room.<\/p>\n

Parsons was particularly distraught over the injury to linebacker DeMarvion Overshown<\/a><\/strong>, which was a serious ailment.<\/p>\n

Tears flowed in the locker room.<\/p>\n

But, amidst some backlash over his reaction, which included leaving the field early, Parsons is speaking out about why he reacted that way and how he doesn\u2019t plan to change who he is based on the criticism.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe frustration is and why I was upset, not only am I the most and complete competitor, I don\u2019t think there\u2019s anyone in the world except for some of the maybe, top three greatest players of all time, like MJ<\/a><\/strong>, maybe RIP Kobe Bryant<\/a><\/strong>, but I think I\u2019m in their category of competitiveness,\u201d Parsons said on The Edge<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s anyone more competitive than me, man. And it\u2019s heart-breaking for me because I promised y\u2019all Cowboys Nation that we would make a run.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys aren\u2019t quite eliminated yet, but it will take serious work to make the playoffs currently sitting at 5-8 on the season.<\/p>\n

Micah Parsons knows it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was doing everything I can in my possible manner to make sure we did that,\u201d Parsons said. \u201cAnd I wanted to put my teammates in that situation. I wanted to win real bad for our unit, but I wanted to win real bad for the ownership, the fans, like it\u2019s so much more.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m carrying this chip on my shoulder where I want greatness for everyone. I don\u2019t want to lose at home, and the fact that we lost and we could have won that game, that killed me, man. Like I want to win so bad. All I know how to do is try to find ways to win and impact the game. And sometimes when you come up short it\u2019s a factor where you can\u2019t really control all of it. It sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n

What was as challenging for Micah Parsons as anything was seeing the reaction from people.<\/p>\n

Many were legitimately upset about his post-game behavior, though it was just Parsons being Parsons. You can\u2019t separate the great player from the person.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just kind of sucked the life out of me and, you know, I just feel like, you know, it\u2019s like damned if I do, damned if I don\u2019t,\u201d Micah Parsons said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlenty of fans, if I went over there and I was all laughing with the competition after we lost like that, a lot of people would be mad. I walk off the field because the game\u2019s over and people are mad. It\u2019s just like, you know, you can\u2019t make everyone happy, but I would just say in that specific moment, it was deeper than that. We\u2019re trying to make a run. We\u2019re trying to make playoffs and kind of to lose that one \u2014 we needed that one.\u201d<\/p>\n
