It also will host over 30 official visits from recruits.

Purdue already has nine commitments in its Class of 2024, a group that could grow to at least 20 when it’s all said and done. June is a month that typically has seen Purdue land several commitments. The program received seven commitments last June. This June, the Boilermakers have gotten two commitments, netting DBs Luke Williams and Jo’Ziah Edmond.

Seven Boilermaker recruits–including two commits–are scheduled to take official visits this weekend. There would have been more OVs this weekend, but WR Mason Dossett flipped to Baylor last week and DL Brandon Davis-Swain committed to Colorado last weekend.

Here’s a look at each prospect coming for an OV June 16-18.

OL Jaden Ball (committed). He committed back in March, making him one of Purdue’s two 2024 offensive line commitments after fellow OL Jordan King climbed aboard. Ball is a big physical interior offensive lineman who projects as a guard.

CB Hudauri Hines (committed). The Indianapolis product was the first commitment in Purdue’s Class of 2024 and has been doing his best to get others to join him. His work paid off, as the Franklin Central High product helped woo recent DB commit Jo’Ziah Edmond. Purdue cross-trains its DBs to play both corner and safety. So, we’ll see where Hines and Edmond end up playing.

OL Demeco Kennedy. He played at Fredrick Douglas High in Lexington, Ky., with current Purdue freshman nose tackle Jamarrion Harkless. Kennedy has some nice offers, including from Kentucky, Louisville and Ole Miss. But Purdue may be best-positioned with him.

EDGE Elijah King. Hailing from the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio, King holds a solid number of offers with a mix of Group of 5 and Power 5 programs.

Purdue would use King at one of its outside linebacker spots: Buck or Fox. He visited Purdue earlier this spring.

“I think I really have a motor and my length and my speed and acceleration off the ball is good,” he told GoldandBlack.com. “Just getting around the guy and making the sack and getting back there and putting pressure on the QB.”

DL Caleb Mitchell-Irving. A four-star prospect, Mitchell-Irving is the most touted visitor this weekend.

Mitchell visited Purdue this winter and came away impressed. He returned for the Boilermakers’ final spring practice on April 22, so his interest seems legit.

“Purdue is a high school on my list,” he told GoldandBlack.com in March. “When I went there, I got a lot of love. I felt comfortable on the campus. Seeing the vibe and how it really is. Coaches can tell you one thing, but you have to see if for yourself.”

CB Will Nettles. He recently took an OV to Nebraska. And he’s slated to officially visit SMU after he comes to Purdue this weekend. Nettles reportedly wants to pick a school by mid-July if he is ready or late July at the worst. Bottom line: He wants to have his commitment made by the time he starts school. Nettles has the length this staff likes in its cornerbacks.

WR Shamar Rigby. Purdue looks to be well-positioned with Rigby, a 6-5 target from the Sunshine State. Rigby has seen his stock steadily rise after the 2022 season, with the three-star junior owning offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa State, Louisville and USF, among others. Purdue wants at least one more wideout in its 2024 class.

The post Purdue official visitors preview: June 16-18 appeared first on On3.

June is a busy month for Purdue, as it has conducted five camps.
