What\u2019s it like to travel with KSR for a basketball road game? It\u2019s about what you\u2019d expect \u2014 chaotic and nonsensical with a dash of Aerosmith to pass the time.<\/p>\n

Steven Peake and I made the seven-hour drive to South Carolina to watch Kentucky lose its first game of the season at Clemson. The Wildcats couldn\u2019t hit a shot to save their lives and they were crushed on the glass in the first half, but still had their chances to beat the Tigers in the true road environment. That was only two hours of the 36-hour journey to and from the Palmetto State, though.<\/p>\n

The rest included windy one-lane roads and ghost towns, no phone signal, long waits at restaurants \u2014 many having no idea a top-five basketball team was in town \u2014 and dirty bathrooms. Also, where was Lil Jon? I was promised he\u2019d be in attendance.<\/p>\n

I documented the ridiculous journey in written form for KSR on the drive home<\/a>. Now, Peake\u2019s video masterpiece is out on the KSR YouTube page, highlighting all of the highs and lows in real time. He also recorded our duet of I Don\u2019t Want to Miss a Thing<\/em> with only one radio station available when the signal went out for a half-hour. Where else can you get that kind of content? The answer is nowhere.<\/p>\n
