New York Giants (2-10) defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence<\/a><\/strong> said he dislocated his left elbow in Thursday\u2019s 27-20 Week 13 road defeat to the Dallas Cowboys (5-7). <\/p>\n

Lawrence, who exited the game in the third quarter and did not return, had his elbow heavily wrapped and in a sling after the game, via Jordan Raanan of ESPN<\/em><\/a>. He knew immediately the injury was significant, relaying his initial fears to linebacker Bobby Okereke<\/a><\/strong> after the play. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think I just dislocated my elbow,\u201d Lawrence told Okereke.<\/p>\n

Lawrence went to the sideline where he had his elbow popped back in. He then walked into the locker room with a trainer. The 27-year-old will undergo an MRI in the coming days to determine the official severity of the injury. <\/p>\n

Dexter Lawrence: \u2018I could play through a lot of things\u2019<\/h2>\n

Lawrence, the two-time Pro Bowler, is having a career year amid a tough season in New York. He leads all interior defenders with 9.0 sacks, to go along with 44 tackles (23 solo), 16 quarterback hits and a forced fumble. Lawrence entered the Thanksgiving Day matchup with 96 pressures when lined up at nose tackle since 2022, 19 more than the next player, according to Pro Football Focus<\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n

He recorded three tackles (two solo) against Dallas before leaving the game. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really know,\u201d Lawrence said, \u201cbut I could play through a lot of things.\u201d<\/p>\n
