NFL fans were confused after seeing an official from the Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Chargers game rule a Mark Andrews<\/a><\/strong> touchdown reception incomplete. The play happened in the fourth quarter when Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson<\/a><\/strong> threw a pass to Andrews in the end zone. Andrews had both feet in-bounds when he caught the pass, but the official, who was a few feet away from the play, ruled that he was out of bounds. <\/p>\n

Thankfully, the ruling was overturned, and the Ravens increased their lead over the Chargers 23-16. The TD reception for Andrews gave him five catches for 44 yards. Before the Monday Night Football<\/em> game, Andrews caught 32 passes for 379 yards and five touchdowns in 11 games. <\/p>\n

In 2023, Andrews played in just 10 games during the regular season due to multiple injuries. He was looking to do big things last year after making the Pro Bowl the last two seasons.<\/p>\n

Last month, Andrews caught his 42nd touchdown pass, the most in Ravens history. \u201cIncredibly grateful,\u201d Andrews said on breaking the record, per BaltimoreRavens.com<\/a>. \u201cGetting drafted to this incredible organization, I\u2019ve been blessed with incredible teammates, obviously No. 8 and having that connection. \u2026 You got to look back at the guys like Todd Heap<\/a><\/strong> and the guys that have done it before you and just be grateful that I\u2019m in this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s crazy, man,\u201d Jackson said of Andrews breaking the record. \u201cWe\u2019ve been at it for a few years now. That\u2019s great for Mark to have. I feel like he should have been had that, like last year, but we made it happen. And it\u2019s only more touchdowns from here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Andrews is thankful to still be playing as he was involved in a scary accident in August. \u201cIt\u2019s extremely scary, it\u2019s definitely a serious thing,\u201d Andrews said at the time<\/a>. \u201cFor me, it puts things in perspective. Tell the people that you\u2019re around that you love them. Wear your seatbelt. You never know what\u2019s going to happen on the road. I\u2019m very blessed and fortunate to have God on my side and to be wearing my seat belt. I feel good. I\u2019m excited about the season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
