Michigan<\/a><\/strong> pulled off the biggest recruiting victory of the 2025 cycle on Thursday night, as Belleville (Mich.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Bryce Underwood<\/a><\/strong>, the nation\u2019s No. 1 prospect, flipped to the Wolverines from LSU.<\/p>\n

The stunning win for Sherrone Moore<\/a><\/strong> and Co. gave U-M a huge boost in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, bringing it up to No. 8 in the nation, jumping Texas A&M, Miami and Tennessee.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Michigan flipped Underwood\u2019s high school teammate, four-star cornerback Elijah Dotson<\/a><\/strong>. Now, the Big Ten program has the nation\u2019s top-ranked passer in the fold and is looking to sign a top-five recruiting class.<\/p>\n

Michigan makes statement flipping Underwood, adds to elite recruiting class<\/h2>\n

Earlier this month, Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale four-star CB\u00a0Shamari Earls<\/a><\/strong>, a top-40 recruit in the On300, flipped from Georgia. Back in the summer, Michigan picked up commitments from Montgomery Village (Md.) Gonzaga four-star safety\u00a0Kainoa Winston<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and Kilgore (Texas) four-star CB\u00a0Jayden Sanders<\/a><\/strong>. Winston is On3\u2019s No. 5 safety, while Sanders is a top-200 recruit.<\/p>\n

At the end of October, Michigan landed its top commitment via Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest five-star offensive tackle\u00a0Andrew Babalola<\/a><\/strong>. The No. 15 overall prospect, Babalola chose the Wolverines over Stanford, Auburn and others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason why Michigan won out overall is I believe in coach Moore\u2019s vision. Obviously it\u2019s tough sledding right now, but overall I love that program,\u201d\u00a0Babalola told On3<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cLove the coaches, the players, the recruiting class. It just came down to me believing in coach Moore and believing in Michigan. I can\u2019t wait to be a part of the family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The class also features some elite offensive weapons. Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh four-star tight end\u00a0Andrew Olesh<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is the nation\u2019s No. 3 TE and the No. 55 recruit. Fulshear (Texas) Katy Jordan four-star wide receiver\u00a0Andrew Marsh<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and New Orleans Archbishop Shaw four-star WR\u00a0Jacob Washington<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are both top-100 recruits in either the On3 Industry Ranking or the On300.<\/p>\n

Other blue-chip commits in the class include: Palatine (Ill.) four-star defensive lineman\u00a0Jaylen Williams<\/a><\/strong>, Franklin (Mich.) Wylie E. Groves four-star offensive lineman\u00a0Avery Gach<\/a><\/strong>, Alpharetta (Ga.) four-star EDGE\u00a0Julius Holly<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and Marrero (La.) Archbishop Shaw four-star running back\u00a0Jasper Parker<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
