Deion Sanders<\/a><\/strong> is never afraid to speak his mind. On the Colorado Football Coaches Show<\/em> on Thursday, the Buffaloes head coach criticized the officiating in Colorado\u2019s 41-27 win over Texas Tech<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, there were some questionable calls in that game,\u201d Sanders said<\/a><\/strong>. \u201cI don\u2019t ever question the officials. Shilo made a tremendous hit and there was a fumble and I asked them to replay it. And it was clearly a fumble. You look at that play, and we recovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cLittle things like that, we got to have that, man. They got to do a better job. Not that they aren\u2019t, but they got to see that. I\u2019m pretty sure if it was on the other foot, they would\u2019ve saw it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The play Sanders is referring to was Texas Tech\u2019s first touchdown of the game, giving the Red Raiders a 7-0 lead. On the play, Texas Tech\u2019s Jalin Conyers<\/a><\/strong> caught a 17-yard touchdown pass but just as he was about to cross into the end zone, Colorado defensive back Shilo Sanders<\/a><\/strong> delivered a massive hit on him.<\/p>\n

The ball came loose and Conyers dropped it. However, the referees ruled that the football had already crossed into the end zone before Conyers dropped it. Upon review, the play was certainly closer to being a fumble than the officials acted.<\/p>\n

The officials\u2019 missed call in the first quarter wasn\u2019t the only issue Deion Sanders took with the referees. He also seemed to have a heated exchange with the officials after Texas Tech fans threw tortillas on the field, temporarily pausing the game.<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s worth noting that the referees weren\u2019t completely against the Buffaloes. Later in the game, the referees missed a pivotal facemask penalty by Colorado\u2019s Keaten Wade<\/a><\/strong> on Texas Tech QB Behren Morton<\/a><\/strong>, which would\u2019ve given the Red Raiders a first down.<\/p>\n

Despite any frustration Sanders had with the officials, Colorado ultimately pulled away with a comfortable win. On Saturday, the Buffaloes will look to add to their win streak when they face off against Utah at noon ET. The game will air live on FOX.<\/p>\n
