We made a change a few weeks ago to replace breakout player roundtables with this one. Which features the players from the opposition that could cause problems for the Ducks.

Here are the players on Wisconsin we are keeping tabs on this Saturday.

Collin King: CB Ricardo Hallman

In looking over Wisconsin’s stat sheet and depth charts, I was shocked to see some of the bigger names not making as meaningful of an impact. That being said, Ricardo Hallman is the player I’m most worried about playing. Hallman can take away Oregon’s best receiver this week, in Evan Stewart, or at very least limit him ultimately to low production. Hallman was one of the best corners in the nation last season and will be off to the NFL following another good year this season.

Max Torres: RB Tawee Walker

Walker seems to be the Badger’s best offensive weapon and he’s rushed for over 100 yards twice this season (Rutgers, Northwestern). The Badgers have a fairly balanced offense but I think they’ll look to establish the run early with how Braedyn Locke has struggled to take care of the ball this season. Oregon’s been solid against the run all year and if you take away the run that’ll go a long way in making things hard on Wisconsin.

Linden Hile: LB Christian Alliegro

In a game where I expect Oregon to have to lean more on its passing attack than it ordinarily would, there will be added pressure on the Ducks offensive line to keep quarterback Dillon Gabriel upright. The unit has done a good job of this but now faces a pass rush that has gotten contribution from a number of players.

Chief among these is sophomore linebacker Christian Alliegro who leads the Badgers with three sacks. He has NFL size and has been an issue for offensive lines that allow him room to operate.

While I have faith in the Ducks’ line to hold firm, Alliegro is the most likely to give them problems.

Jhop: CB Ricardo Hallman

Unfortunately for Hallman he is one of the best cornerbacks you probably don’t know about. He might be an NFL first rounder. The problem is, he’s pretty much all Wisconsin has so nobody throws at him. Nor should they. And I can’t imagine Oregon will test it this weekend. But if DG does force a throw that direction, Hallman could make him pay. And while I think Oregon should win no problem, turnovers are the one thing that can keep the Badgers in the game.

The post ScoopDuck Roundtable: Opposing Player Most Concerned With appeared first on On3.

It’s Tuesday and time for our second roundtable of the week.
