A sequel to the hit racing movie Days of Thunder<\/em> could happen, and NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick<\/strong> has some thoughts on it. On Kevin Harvick\u2019s Happy Hour<\/em>,<\/a> Harvick was asked about his reaction to another Days of Thunder<\/em> film<\/a> with Tom Cruise. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think of Days of Thunder 2 <\/em>would be good,\u201d Harvick said. While Harvick likes the idea of a potential Days of Thunder<\/em> sequel, there\u2019s another racing film he would love to see get another chapter. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think we should have Ricky Bobby or Will Ferrell and Talladega Nights,<\/em>\u201d Harvick said. \u201cI know where we can film it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The reason Harvick said he knows where a potential Talladega Nights<\/em> sequel can be filmed is he bought Ricky Bobby\u2019s mansion from the movie last year. The home is located in North Carolina and includes six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to film it in a modernized Ricky Bobby home,\u201d Kevin Harvick said. And when asked if he would let cast and crew return to the house, Harvick said, \u201cYou know, there\u2019s a price for everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

What to know about the potential return of \u2018Days of Thunder\u2019<\/h2>\n

Earlier this month, The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> revealed that Tom Cruise was looking to make a Days of Thunder <\/em>sequel. Cruise is talking to Paramount about the follow up to Days of Thunder <\/em>which was released in 1990. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s talking [to Paramount] about\u00a0Top Gun<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Days of Thunder<\/em>,\u201d a studio insider told The Hollywood Reporter.<\/em> \u201cIt\u2019s going to be what comes together first in terms of a script. It depends on the idea and, ultimately, the script.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source added: \u201cI don\u2019t think a [Days of Thunder<\/em>\u00a0sequel] is a terrible idea. You might have said that revisiting\u00a0Top Gun<\/em>\u00a0was a terrible idea. I wouldn\u2019t discount it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Days of Thunder<\/em> tells the story of a young race car driver named Cole Trickle (Cruise) working his way up the NASCAR Cup Series. The film also includes Robert Duvall, Randy Quaid, Nicole Kidman, Michael Rookie, Cary Elwes and, John C. Reilly who is also in Talladega Nights.<\/em> <\/p>\n

Days of Thunder <\/em>was a big hit for Paramount, earning nearly $160 million at the box office. It also earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Sound. <\/p>\n
