Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May gave a fiery speech to his team ahead of the 101-53 win over Cleveland State Monday night, as revealed by a video on the program\u2019s official Twitter \/ X account.<\/p>\n

\u201cOffensively, we\u2019re gonna play fast,\u201d May said to his team.
\u201cWe\u2019re gonna cut fast, we\u2019re gonna run fast, we\u2019re gonna crash fast. We\u2019re gonna fight like crazy for catches. We\u2019re gonna be ball strong, 4-4-4 drill and then shot fakes. We\u2019re gonna get in the paint, shot fake \u2014\u00a0the game slows down.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefensively, we\u2019re gonna play fast defensively. We\u2019re gonna be suspicious and alert at all times. Look around, taking in information. And then we\u2019re gonna finish possessions and then we\u2019re gonna do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michigan had 22 assists on 39 made buckets, sharing the ball well. The Maize and Blue put up 101 points and shot over 68 percent from the field, the second best mark in a game in program history.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as our unselfishness and sharing the ball, I would grade us at an A-,\u201d May said. \u201cWe have guys that enjoy passing the ball. They\u2019ve always taken pride in playing the game the right way, and that\u2019s not always easy to do when you build a lead and you get a lot of attention for the numbers.<\/p>\n

The first version of the College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday night.
