Who said there\u2019s no crying in baseball? On Saturday, the Chicago White Sox<\/a> left every fan with a lump in their throat after a moving surprise.<\/p>\n

During a break in the action of the White Sox\u2019s 5-1 loss to the Miami Marlins, U.S. Army Major Karen Hernandez surprised her son on the field. Hernandez had been on a year-long deployment in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Thanks to a video posted on Twitter by the Chicago White Sox, fans could fully appreciate the moment, including Hernandez\u2019s point of view.<\/p>\n

Definitely not a dream, Major!<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s gonna be absolutely surprised. I hope happy and I think probably a little bit emotional,\u201d Hernandez said about her son before the surprise. \u201cReally nervous. I\u2019m excited, so excited. It feels fake.\u201d<\/p>\n

The emotional moment was anything but fake. While Hernandez\u2019s son, Jayden, stood on the field believing he was being recognized in his mother\u2019s place, the real hero surprised him from behind. Before fans could blink, Jayden leaped into his mother\u2019s arms.<\/p>\n

The two shared muffled affections, enjoying the hug too much to free up their mouths. Nonetheless, the message was received: \u201cI love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

From the video, Jayden was so shocked he could barely let go of his mom\u2019s neck. We doubt Hernandez was upset by the immobility. The mother-son pair weren\u2019t the only ones left with tears in their eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody was cutting onions in my section,\u201d one user wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cLove when I see Baseball step put of it\u2019s normal and does something like this,\u201d another user added.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Jayden and Hernandez, they didn\u2019t get to cap off the day with a White Sox win. Sitting at 29-38 record, Chicago currently sits at third in the AL Central division<\/a>. White Sox fans can only hope the emotional moment, will jumpstart some passion into their team.<\/p>\n
