The\u00a0Auburn football<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0staff has done a great job of staying on top of its top high school targets while scouring the transfer portal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The transfer portal is all wrapped up and summer camp season is in full swing. Now, the entire focus goes back to the high school ranks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I have six open RPM predictions logged for five big Auburn targets. We will update each on how I am feeling about those picks as of today.<\/p>\n

Three previous predictions for class of 2024 recruits have made their decisions:<\/p>\n

Correct: TE \u2013\u00a0Martavious Collins<\/a><\/strong>, 60 percent confidence to AuburnCorrect: DB \u2013\u00a0A\u2019Mon Lane<\/a><\/strong>, 80 percent confidence to AuburnCorrect: RB \u2013\u00a0J\u2019Marion Burnette<\/a><\/strong>, 60 percent confidence to Auburn<\/p>\n

Here is a review of where things stand for each of the six predictions.<\/p>\n

LB,\u00a0Joseph Phillips<\/a><\/strong>, Tuskegee (Ala.) Booker T. Washington<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 60% confidence, 2\/14\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Not good<\/p>\n

Things have changed in this recruitment several times. The Tigers have continuously been seen as the leader, then Georgia jumped in front. Phillips was back at Auburn to camp and was shown plenty of attention from coaches. Has it evened back up? Maybe. A commitment decision was close to happening, and still may be. It is unclear what Phillips may do at this time. I\u2019m calling this one a toss-up with a slight edge to Georgia for now.<\/p>\n

LB,\u00a0Demarcus Riddick<\/a><\/strong>, Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 60% confidence, 3\/8\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Not good<\/p>\n

One thing was somewhat clear when I visited Riddick in February: There was just as good of a chance he ends up at an in-state school as it was to land at Georgia where he\u2019s been committed. At the time, the feeling from Riddick and from many sources who know him, was that the Tigers had surged in front. While Riddick is still committed to Georgia, the feel from those sources has shifted to Alabama. Since his last visit to Tuscaloosa, it seems Alabama has the momentum right now. I was told, however, back in February to expect some twists and turns. I think Auburn will battle until the end, but Alabama is in better shape to flip him at this time. He is wrapping up his official visit at Auburn this weekend, but barring something crazy, Alabama probably holds the lead going into its official visit.<\/p>\n

LB,\u00a0D\u2019Angelo Barber<\/a><\/strong>, Pinson (Ala.) Clay-Chalkville<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 60% confidence, 3\/8\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Great<\/p>\n

It\u2019s safe to say that Auburn has been the front-runner for Barber for some time now. Arkansas and Travis Williams have made this interesting, though. Barber came out and said that Auburn was his leader after he camped on Thursday. Confidence is high at Auburn.<\/p>\n

OT,\u00a0Reese Baker<\/a><\/strong>, Huntsville (Ala.) Madison Academy<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 65% confidence, 5\/2\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Great<\/p>\n

I put in a prediction for Baker to land with the Tigers shortly after the offer was announced. He had been on Jake Thornton\u2019s radar for some time and the timing of the offer says that he was ready to make a move. I think Auburn is the clear front runner and could add Baker to the class when the time is right. I also think Auburn will do so before too long.<\/p>\n

DL,\u00a0Malik Blocton<\/a><\/strong>, Montgomery (Ala.) Pike Road<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 65% confidence, 5\/24\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Good<\/p>\n

I logged a prediction for Blocton to Auburn about two weeks ago. There was not a hurry to add Blocton to the class, but I think with certain circumstances, and with what it would mean to Blocton, he will land in the class. He has since set a commitment date of July 8. Auburn, Texas, and Florida are the finalists, but Auburn remains in the best shape here.<\/p>\n

OL, Kahlil House<\/a><\/strong>, Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County<\/h2>\n

PICK<\/strong>: Auburn \u2013 60% confidence, 6\/10\/23<\/p>\n

FEELING<\/strong>: Good<\/p>\n

House is the newest prediction, so my confidence remains high for now. House camped at Auburn on Thursday, got high praise from coaches and a new offer. He sounds as if he\u2019s ready to jump on that offer. The only drawback might be if the Tigers are willing to take him this early.. It seems they would, but things change hourly in recruiting. <\/p>\n
