Many prospects impressed during Florida State football coach Mike Norvell\u2019s Elite Camp on Saturday. And one that might have turned the most heads was 2025 four-star offensive tackle Solomon Thomas<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The athletic big man also seemed to really enjoy his time at Florida State, spending time with offensive line coach Alex Atkins and the rest of the Seminoles\u2019 staff.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe visit went great, more so of a one-on-one kind,\u201d Thomas said. \u201cThis program is great, Coach Atkins is great, the \u2018Nole family is definitely a family \u2014 all caps FAMILY. They definitely put on.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Thomas is listed as the No. 3 offensive tackle in the country<\/a> <\/strong>and the fourth-best player overall in Florida for the 2025 class.<\/p>\n

It was very clear that the Jacksonville Raines star enjoyed being around Atkins and has a high opinion of Florida State overall.<\/p>\n

\u201cFSU\u2019s definitely Top 2,\u201d he said before declining to name the other school he has ranked that high. \u201cIt\u2019s great to be coached by someone who, of course knows the game, but he definitely is real with you and he\u2019s not trying to just gaslight you, trying to tell you how good you are. Since I\u2019ve gotten these national rankings, since I\u2019ve gotten these stars and all these extra offers, the guy\u2019s been the same. Coach has definitely been the same. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey [were] loving on me my freshman year at the camp, and they\u2019re still loving on me now the same \u2014 kind and respectful to my family as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Thomas wouldn\u2019t say what other school is at the top of his list, On3\u2019s Recruiting Prediction Machine has his recruitment as a battle between Florida State and Florida.<\/p>\n

Another recruit who stood out on Saturday was 2025 four-star WR Jaime Ffrench<\/a><\/strong>. Ffrench is the top wide receiver at Jacksonville\u2019s Mandarin High School, where 2025 Florida Sate QB commit Tramell Jones<\/a><\/strong> also plays.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt plays a factor,\u201d Ffrench said of his teammate being committed to the Seminoles. \u201cDefinitely with the type of QB he is and skill set for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ffrench is the No. 3 player in the state of Florida<\/a> <\/strong>for his class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, and the No. 4 receiver in the country. He is listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cVisit went great, camp went great,\u201d the four-star recruit said. \u201cJust getting back to Tallahassee\u2019s always great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ffrench said the message from the Florida State coaches stayed the same throughout camp.<\/p>\n

\u201cStay focused, keep working, and I\u2019ll be where I want to be,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Ffrench plans to try to come back to Tallahassee for a game this fall, preferably Miami. As for where Florida State stands in his recruitment, the Mandarin wideout said he is high on the \u2018Noles.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely top 5,\u201d he said. \u201cReal high. Real high.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other Recruits Sound off About FSU<\/strong><\/p>\n

2025 four-star Max Buchanan<\/a> of Sanford Seminole<\/strong><\/p>\n

On visit and camp: \u201cIt was good. I liked it a lot. Glad I was able to make it out here today.\u201d<\/p>\n

What was the coaches\u2019 message: \u201cI just had a really long conversation with Coach Rat (director of player relations Keiwan Ratliff<\/strong><\/a>), and it was a lot of being truthful. That\u2019s what it is here. They are very truthful in what they need, and I have noticed that a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where does Florida State stand: \u201cI would say they\u2019re pretty high. I\u2019ve always loved it here. I always feel welcomed coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n

When will you be back?: \u201cI want to come back for a game. If I can\u2019t, then I need to figure something out.\u201d<\/p>\n

What makes FSU unique: \u201cThey tell it to you black and white. If I need to get this done, I need to get this done. They\u2019ve always been like that since my freshman year. I\u2019ve always liked that about all their coaches.\u201d<\/p>\n

3-star QB and FSU Commit Tramell Jones<\/a><\/strong> of Jacksonville<\/strong><\/p>\n

On being back: \u201cIt\u2019s just good to be home, have a refresher. It\u2019s just great. You see the camaraderie they have here. So that\u2019s great to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

On QBs coach Tony Tokarz: \u201cHe\u2019s always pushing you to be the best \u2014 little details, that\u2019s what he\u2019s focusing on.\u201d<\/p>\n

On throwing a long pass to Ffrench during the camp: \u201cHe\u2019s been asking me that, ever since we found out we were coming here. He was like, \u2018Just give me a good ball, and I\u2019ll go get it.\u2019 I was like alright I got you. And then Coach Tokarz was like, \u2018Coach Norvell said this was the last one\u2019 \u2026 so he was just like, \u2018Air it out, air it out.\u2019 So that\u2019s what I did. \u2026 When we come here, that\u2019s what we are going to be doing here in the \u2018Nole stadium.\u201d<\/p>\n

On recruiting Ffrench: \u201cAlabama\u2019s pulling him hard, but we definitely have a chance for sure. \u2026 If he wants to be coached by the best, come here. If he wants somebody who really wants him, come here.\u201d<\/p>\n

On other visits: \u201cNah, I\u2019m done. I had some earlier. I went to Georgia, Alabama, but that was pretty much it.\u201d<\/p>\n

3-Star OT Kavion Broussard<\/a> of Louisiana<\/strong><\/p>\n

On visit and camp: \u201cIt went good, I had a good time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where does Florida State stand: \u201cThey got a high ranking for me. My recruitment is still open, so I\u2019ve just got to keep visiting. And then as I keep liking, I\u2019ll make a Top 5.\u201d<\/p>\n

What stands out about FSU: \u201cThey coaches \u2026 the coaches just keep everything real. They just tell you the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

3-Star DL D\u2019Nas White<\/a> of North Carolina<\/strong><\/p>\n

On camp and visit: \u201cIt went good. Went over a few different things.\u201d<\/p>\n

What coach did you talk to and what was his message: \u201cIt was Coach Odell [Haggins]. Hust work on the stuff I need to work on.\u201d<\/p>\n

When will you be back: \u201cI don\u2019t know. I\u2019ll do my official visit in the fall, probably for a game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where does FSU stand: \u201cThey\u2019re in Top 5, yeah.\u201d<\/p>\n

3-star DE Elias Williams<\/a> of Hudson, Fla.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On camp and the visit: \u201cThe camp was really good. I got to learn a lot of new things to help me improve on my game and also take it back to my team. \u2026 So it really helps. It was a really good camp. Took care of us a lot. They made sure that we always got anything we needed, and nobody was left behind. It was a great camp overall.\u201d<\/p>\n

How did you hold up against the top competition: \u201cI think I did really good. Was also learning things that day and implementing them in the one-on-ones. I\u2019m pretty sure I did pretty good. I still have a couple things to work on like Coach said. You can\u2019t really master a move in one rep, you know. You have to take thousands, which I\u2019m OK with. I\u2019m a patient kid.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where are you in your recruiting process: \u201cAs of right now, I\u2019m like almost there. \u2026 December 1st, I will be announcing my commitment. But that\u2019s kind of like the deadline. If I see a school I really like and nothing is stopping me, I might commit in the middle of the season. I might commit then. But I just want to give these schools, like the schools that I\u2019m visiting this summer, a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where does FSU stand: \u201cThey stand pretty up there. I mean everything they\u2019re doing is the right thing to do. They want to build a relationship with me outside. They\u2019re worried about me not just on the field but how I\u2019m doing as a young man and also how I\u2019m doing in the classroom, which is really important to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Do you have an official visit planned for FSU? \u201cNovember 11th. I will be back here for when they play Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n
