According to Wake Forest on Twitter, first pitch is set for 2:15 p.m. for the highly-anticipated showdown between the SEC and ACC programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst pitch is set for 2:15PM,\u201d tweeted Wake Forest.<\/p>\n

The news comes after the Super Regional showdown was delayed due to a non-game-related medical event. The game was originally set to begin at Noon ET.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to a non-game-related medical event, gates will not be open at this time,\u201d tweeted Wake Forest. \u201cThe start of the game will be delayed as well. More info will be provided as it becomes available.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans are welcome to await gate entry inside the DEACTOWN Fan Zone inside Gate 5 at Truist Field.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alas, we\u2019re almost set for some exciting baseball between Alabama and Wake Forest. It\u2019s going to be a fascinating showdown to take in on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

When the game does get started up, Jason Jackson and the\u00a0Alabama Crimson Tide<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0aren\u2019t shying away from having to face the top team in the country in their Super Regional matchup.<\/p>\n

Jackson\u2019s squad will have to go through the\u00a0Wake Forest Demon Deacons<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0if they\u2019re to seize a spot in the College World Series. Instead of being intimidated, Alabama is simply looking at facing the top team in the nation as a fantastic opportunity to showcase their abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that it\u2019s a great opportunity,\u201d explained Jackson. \u201cI think our guys have earned this opportunity, to get a chance to you know, go on the road and play the team that\u2019s ranked No. 1 in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cSaid before, we\u2019re really excited about it, so yeah.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it may be a tough challenge, Alabama can truly make a statement if they can not only play Wake Forest hard, but if they can beat them over the weekend.<\/p>\n

It won\u2019t be easy, and Jason Jackson recognizes that. However, if you\u2019ve learned anything over the last few months, remember not to bet against Alabama, even if all the odds aren\u2019t in their favor.<\/p>\n
