On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong<\/strong> made waves in the Michigan community this week by placing a prediction for the Wolverines to land Overland Park (Ks.) Blue Valley Northwest five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola<\/a><\/strong>, the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2025 class per On3. He discussed his prediction on a YouTube show with On3\u2019s Josh Newburg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was time to move my pick off Stanford,\u201d Wiltfong said. \u201cI think he\u2019s nearing his college decision. And coming into the summer, you talked to people around the programs that are finalists \u2014\u00a0you got Auburn, you got Missouri, you got Michigan, you got Oklahoma and you got Stanford \u2014\u00a0and the narrative kind of shifted from \u2018and Stanford\u2019 to \u2018and Michigan.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I continue to talk to sources this week, I just like the way it\u2019s starting to shape up for the Wolverines. We\u2019ve been talking about Michigan being the program trending for quite some time, and I think he\u2019s going to try to make his decision before the end of the month.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Michigan quarterback Tom Brady <\/strong>was officially approved as a minority owner of the NFL\u2019s Las Vegas Raiders. <\/p>\n

Michigan director of athletics Warde Manuel <\/strong>discussed the department\u2019s need for more revenue ahead of revenue sharing coming to college athletics next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to pay be paying our student-athletes more money. Our budget is going to grow,\u201d Manuel said on the Conqu\u2019ring Heroes podcast. \u201cIt means we\u2019re going to have to look at new revenue streams. Also look at our expenses and making sure we control our expenses. And so it\u2019s going to be a combination of both additional revenue that we need to look at \u2014 because this is additional payments that we have to make to our student-athletes \u2014 as well as reduction of expenses where we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
