Colorado<\/a><\/strong> has likely lost a key piece of depth in its receiving corps for the season, Deion Sanders<\/a><\/strong> announced Tuesday. Omarion Miller<\/a><\/strong> is out for the year after getting hurt in Saturday\u2019s loss to Kansas State<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Miller had a huge game against the Wildcats, catching 8 passes for 145 yards, but now it appears as though he is lost for the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he had surgery yesterday, so I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll be back this season,\u201d Deion Sanders said<\/a> during his press conference on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Omarion Miller is a former four-star recruit in the class of 2023<\/a>. He played in 10 games and made a pair of starts for the Buffaloes last season.<\/p>\n

The Louisiana native finished with 11 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown last year and had 10 catches for 216 yards already this year, while appearing in all six games.<\/p>\n

Omarion Miller is capable of producing even more, but the Buffaloes have a deep receiving corps, which kept him from getting more opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean our message to him is to get yourself together when it\u2019s time to rehabilitate yourself and get in the right frame of mind so you can come out bigger, stronger, faster and better,\u201d Deion Sanders said. \u201cBecause the kid is, I would say fifth man, one of the best fifth men in the country, you know, if he\u2019s our fifth receiver, which we don\u2019t say that, but then he\u2019s one of the best in the nation to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Omarion Miller still has a couple of years left to try to leave his mark on the Colorado program. Sanders expects him to be even more involved in the years to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud of him. Proud of him for just staying focused, knowing he wasn\u2019t a starter. But had the ability to start,\u201d Sanders said. \u201cBut when he came in he gave you everything he had. Proud of him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colorado will face Arizona on the road on Saturday, looking to bounce back from its loss this past weekend.<\/p>\n
