Because why not \u2014 on Wednesday night after Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida, a Weather Channel reporter in the eye of the storm warned locals of a second surge that would hit the area after the eye passed. He used the Falcons\u2019 loss to get his point across. <\/p>\n

\u201cEnjoy the little halftime show that Mother Nature gave us inside of Milton, but now we\u2019ve got the second half. And I have to remind everyone who might still be in the eye now that there\u2019s a lot more to go,\u201d he said about the hurricane<\/a>. \u201cI think back to the Atlanta Falcons. First half Super Bowl winners. We know what happened in the second half with the Patriots came back to life, so do not sleep on the second half of Milton. We are definitely concerned now with the [second-half] surge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report was made in Sarasota, Florida, which is directly south of Tampa. <\/p>\n

Wind gusts of over 100 miles per hour were reported near Tampa as well, according to CNN\u2019s live coverage<\/a> of the surge.<\/p>\n
