Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Nick Herbig<\/a><\/strong> was taken to the locker room during the Sunday Night Football <\/em>game against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering an injury. It was announced that Herbig sustained a hamstring injury <\/a>and his return to the game was questionable. <\/p>\n

The injury happened in the third quarter when the Steelers led the Cowboys 10-6. Before the injury, Herbig recorded two tackles, one tackle for loss and half a sack. In Herbig\u2019s first four games of the 2024 season, he has posted six tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks.<\/p>\n

Herbig was selected by the Steelers in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, the former Wisconsin<\/a> star tallied 27 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks and two forced fumbles. <\/p>\n

Last month, Steelers All-Pro pass rusher T.J. Watt<\/a><\/strong> talked about his relationship with Herbig. \u201cNick is so much fun because he reminds me a lot of myself,\u201d Watt said, per the Steelers\u2019 official website.<\/a> \u201cIt also reminds me of my relationship with my oldest brother, J.J., when it comes to football. I just want to know everything he has to tell me. And I want to try to do the best of my ability.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve kind of been that person to Nick, and he\u2019s asked so many great questions. It\u2019s not like I\u2019m forcing information on him. He wants the information, and he\u2019s actually applying it. It\u2019s so cool when we talk about a move and he goes out there in practice and does it and it\u2019s like, wow, we just talked about doing that. We have so many fun conversations that are also very constructive on the football field.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the preseason, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin<\/a><\/strong> talked about the growth he\u2019s seen in Herbig. \u201cYou know, he\u2019s [Herbig] behaving like a guy that\u2019s been a lap around the track, really,\u201d Tomlin said, per A to Z Sports<\/a>. \u201cWe want to see significant growth in all those second-year players, and I think really he\u2019s an example of that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
