This was a mistake, a humorous one at that. Enfinger will once again be behind the wheel of the No. 9 Chevrolet Silverado as he continues his bid for his first career Truck Series championship.

Now, there was a time where Oldsmobiles took to the racetrack in NASCAR events. From 1949-1994, Oldsmobile represented General Motors in NASCAR. Oldsmobile left NASCAR after the 1994 season and was discontinued in 2004 after 107 years in business.

Grant Enfinger chasing first career Truck Series title

Enfinger, who finished second in the points standings last season, made the 10-driver playoff field despite going winless in the regular season. He advanced to the Round of 8 after his performance in the Round of 10 finale at Kansas this past Friday, outdueling Ben Rhodes by 25 points. Rhodes ran out of fuel with two laps remaining in the race, while Enfinger finished ninth.

Enfinger is looking forward to Talladega, the Fairhope, Alabama, native’s home track.

“This is definitely not a three-race stint that we’re proud of by any means at CR7 Motorsports,” Enfinger said after Kansas. “Feel like we turned a corner earlier in the year and then we stumbled here this Round of 10. So, looking forward to getting back on track next week at Talladega, and anything can happen there obviously but it’s my home track. I love racing there. We’ll get through there and go on.”

The post Grant Enfinger manufacturer listed as Oldsmobile on Talladega Truck Series race entry list appeared first on On3.

NASCAR released the 39-car entry list for this Friday’s Truck Series Round of 8 opener…

[1

post-71460","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
