Elgin, Oklahoma offensive lineman Antoni Ogumoro<\/a><\/strong> has been committed to Tennessee since this spring. He wasn\u2019t able to attend the Vols game in Norman last weekend but was all smiles after the win.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was hyped up for that game,\u201d Ogumoro said. \u201cEspecially with all the talk over here. I most definitely did a lot of talking after. I let everybody know. We had film the next day and all my coaches are OU fans and they are Tennessee fans now too but I let them know they know what\u2019s up. I had my Tennessee hoodie and hat on.\u201d<\/p>\n

After moving from North Carolina, Ogumoro has been steadily improving and he is enjoying a successful start.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like it\u2019s going pretty smooth,\u201d Ogumoro said. \u201cOf course the games have been good. Everybody is doing their part. I\u2019m really excited about the rest of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tennessee offensive line coach Glen Elarbee was in Elgin on Friday night to see Ogumoro play. A change in schools meant a change in philosophy on offense, which has helped broaden his game as an offensive lineman.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d say my pass protection and footwork,\u201d Ogumoro said. \u201cAt my old school it was my first year playing offensive line and we didn\u2019t pass the ball a whole lot. It was a lot of zone and running. Over here we do pretty much everything. I\u2019ve learned counter GT and me being able to pull, we worked all that in the offseason. My footwork got better and keeping my eyes up at the second level, which is understanding my assignment and communicating with the whole line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ogumoro will be back in town to see Josh Heupel<\/a><\/strong> and the Vols play in October for the Alabama game. He is very much looking forward to getting back to Rocky Top. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in the group chat and we talk and wish each other good luck for our games,\u201d Ogumoro said. \u201cGMac is the guy who starts the convo and we all jump in on the topic.\u201d<\/p>\n

He will be an early enrollee in January so he is soaking up his last few months before he leaves home for college.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt kind of hit me already,\u201d Ogumoro said. \u201cWe were sitting down as a family last month and I was like man I\u2019m really about to leave pretty soon. We are into our season now and it\u2019s going by really fast.\u201d<\/p>\n
