The Associated Press Top 25<\/a> and ESPN\u2019s College Football Power<\/a> Index are in agreement. Both have Tennessee Football ranked No. 5 through the first four games of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Vols, according to the FPI, have a projected win-loss record of 10.5-1.8 and a 79.9% chance to make the new 12-team College Football Playoff. There\u2019s 13.7% chance to win the SEC, a 6.9% chance to win out, an 18.0% chance to make to to the national championship game and a 9.1% chance to win the national title.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tennessee is off to a 4-0 start after wins over Chattanooga (69-3), NC State (51-10), Kent State (71-0) and Oklahoma (25-15). Oklahoma is ranked No. 18 in the FPI, ahead of No. 80 NC State. Kent State is ranked dead last at No. 134.<\/p>\n

The Vols have games remaining against two of the top-four teams in the FPI, hosting Alabama (No. 2) on October 19 and going to Georgia (No. 4) on November 16.<\/p>\n

Alabama has an 83.5% chance to make the playoff and a 20.6% chance to win the SEC, while Georgia has a 70.6% chance to make the playoff and a 7.2% chance to win the league. Texas is ranked No. 1 with a 38.8% chance to win the SEC, a 92.9% chance to make the playoff and a 23.3% chance to win the national championship.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s where Tennessee remaining opponents \u2014 the Vols are off this week before the schedule picks back up at Arkansas next Saturday \u2014 are ranked in the Football Power Index<\/a>:<\/p>\n

No. 2 Alabama (October 19)<\/strong>: Alabama was off last week, setting up for Saturday night\u2019s showdown against Georgia at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide beat Western Kentucky 63-0 to open the season, beat South Florida 34-16 in Week 2 then went to Wisconsin for a 42-10.<\/p>\n

No. 4 Georgia (November 16)<\/strong>: Georgia was off last week before going to Alabama Saturday night. The Bulldogs beat Clemson 34-3 to open the season and beat Tennessee Tech 48-3 in its home opener. Georgia had to escape Kentucky with a 13-12 win on September 14.<\/p>\n

No. 23 Arkansas (October 5)<\/strong>: Arkansas won 24-14 at Auburn on Saturday. The Razorbacks had to rally from down 17-3 against UAB in the first half at home two weeks ago, ultimately winning 37-27. The Razorbacks lost 39-31 in overtime at Oklahoma State on September 7 and beat Arkansas Pine Bluff 70-0 to start the season on August 29.<\/p>\n

No. 38 Kentucky (November 2)<\/strong>: Kentucky beat Southern Miss 31-0 at home to open the season, got throttled by South Carolina 31-7 in Lexington, then nearly upset No. 1 Georgia in a 13-12 loss. UK beat Ohio 41-6 on Saturday.<\/p>\n

No. 39 Florida (October 12)<\/strong>: Florida improved to 2-2 with a win at Mississippi State on Saturday. The Gators opened with ugly home losses to Miami (41-7) and Texas A&M (33-20) sandwiched around a 45-7 win over Samford.<\/p>\n

No. 54 Vanderbilt (November 30)<\/strong>: Vanderbilt started 2-0 win wins over Virginia Tech and Alcorn State 55-0, but the Commodores lost 36-32 at Georgia State on September 14 and 30-27 at Missouri in overtime on Saturday.<\/p>\n

No. 73 Mississippi State (November 9)<\/strong>: Mississippi State started the\u00a0Jeff Lebby<\/a>\u00a0era with a 56-7 win over Eastern Kentucky, but has since lost three straight games. It started with a 30-23 road loss at Arizona State before back-to-back home losses, 41-17 to Toledo and 45-28 to Florida.<\/p>\n

No. 128 UTEP<\/strong>: UTEP is 0-4 with losses at Nebraska (40-7), at home to FCS Southern Utah (27-24), at Liberty (28-10) and at Colorado State (27-17).\u00a0<\/p>\n
