As Hurricane Helene<\/strong> moves up the Gulf Coast, Georgia<\/a><\/strong> has announced its campus closure plan. The main campus will shut down Sept. 26-27 as a result of the storm.<\/p>\n

The timing of the closure will be ahead of Saturday\u2019s highly anticipated game against Alabama<\/a><\/strong>, which will take place in Tuscaloosa \u2013 outside of the storm\u2019s predicted path. Further updates will come Friday about services over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Hurricane Helene is currently a Category 1 hurricane. It is predicted to strengthen to a Category 4 storm by the time it makes landfall Thursday evening, according to the National Hurricane Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n
