Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller class of 2024 cornerback and Irish commit Karson Hobbs<\/a><\/strong> joins the show to give an update on how things are going for him as well as a preview of his official visit this weekend.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame has gone down to Fishers, Indiana, and landed its first in-state recruit of the 2024 cycle. On Tuesday,\u00a0Hamilton Southeastern<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0High School interior offensive lineman\u00a0Styles Prescod<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0announced his verbal commitment in favor of the Fighting Irish.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-5 \u00bd, 270-pound Prescod is Notre Dame\u2019s third offensive line commit in the 2024 recruiting cycle and second under\u00a0Joe Rudolph<\/a><\/strong>. On March 29, Notre Dame\u2019s first-year O-line coach, Rudolph, accepted a commitment from four-star interior offensive lineman\u00a0Anthonie Knapp<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of Roswell (Ga.) High.<\/p>\n

Last August, four-star interior offensive lineman\u00a0Peter Jones<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0shut down his recruitment in favor of the Irish while Harry Hiestand was the offensive line coach. However, Hiestand, who offered Prescod a scholarship in January, unexpectedly announced his retirement on Feb. 12.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prescod\u00a0initially favored the Irish<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0while Hiestand was the Irish position coach. However, after he stepped away from the coaching ranks, it resulted in some\u00a0uncertainty surrounding<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0his Notre Dame recruitment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Rudolph seemingly put that uncertainty to rest during the spring.<\/p>\n

Prescod has been to South Bend three times over the last six weeks. He most recently officially visited Notre Dame last Friday through Saturday. Before his paid trip to campus, he visited for the Blue-Gold Game on April 22 and for spring practice on April 15.\u00a0<\/p>\n
