North Carolina head football coach Mack Brown was understandably disappointed after his Tar Heels team was blown out by James Madison on Saturday. With that said, he regrets his actions following the game.<\/p>\n
Brown said at his press conference on Monday that he asked his players if he should resign or remain the head coach after the Dukes beat UNC 70-53 Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill.<\/p>\n
It was a question that he feels was unfair to his players.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I was walking off the field I thought \u2018I\u2019m responsible for all of this. It\u2019s on me. So I should ask the players about leadership. If they feel good about me moving forward.\u2019 That\u2019s something I shouldn\u2019t do. I shouldn\u2019t put that pressure on those young people at that point,\u201d Mack Brown explained Monday. \u201cI\u2019m supposed to be a leader, and probably the worst things I\u2019ve ever said in my life are after losses. You all have heard most of them. And that\u2019s just what I do.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo disappointed in me. I should\u2019ve waited. But the kids were overwhelmingly, \u2018Nah, come on, coach. Let\u2019s go. Let\u2019s move forward.\u2019 And we\u2019re doing that and excited about the future and love my job.\u201d<\/p>\n
