Troy wide receiver <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/chris-lewis-23001\/\">Chris Lewis<\/a><\/strong> announced that he is officially 100% cancer free. And finished with treatment. Lewis made the announcement on his Twitter page.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"hHBpeglXbjcEaCP7K3VyWL4otA81MzOFD9G\">\n<p>Officially finished with treatment <br \/>100% cancer Free <\/p>\n<p>\u2014 6 (@ChrisLew__) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChrisLew__\/status\/1836860508642947236?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 19, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to an article written by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/college-football\/story\/_\/id\/39715121\/troy-wr-chris-lewis-opens-cancer-treatment\">Pete Thamel of ESPN<\/a><\/strong>, Lewis spent 10-weeks in a chemotherapy treatment. The purpose was to decrease the chances of the cancer spreading and possibly even shrink the tumor. It had a picture of him hauling in a catch against Kansas State. He was trying to raise $150,000 to help with the expenses related to his cancer treatments.
