A bit of controversy popped up at the end of the Colorado Buffaloes<\/a><\/strong>\u2018 win over the Colorado State Rams<\/a><\/strong> when quarterback Shedeur Sanders<\/a><\/strong> refused to shake the hand<\/a> of Rams quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi<\/a><\/strong>. That came after Fowler-Nicolosi had trash-talked in the lead-up to the game.<\/p>\n

While making an appearance on The Herd with Colin Cowherd<\/em>, college football analyst Joel Klatt shared his thoughts on the controversy, calling Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi a clown.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of the noise comes from outside,\u201d Klatt said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Colin Cowherd responded to that, saying, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you shake hands with the team you just beat?\u201d The implication being that there wouldn\u2019t be so much noise if Colorado\u2019s players, and in this case Shedeur Sanders, carried themselves differently.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, how about if you\u2019re the opposing quarterback you don\u2019t run your mouth to the extent that Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi ran his mouth and then couldn\u2019t back it up on the field,\u201d Klatt countered. \u201cBy the way, if you just run the video a little bit, you\u2019re gonna see Shedeur Sanders shake everybody else\u2019s hands. He daps up everybody from CSU except for this clown that ran his mouth about how good he was.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amid all of that controversy, Joel Klatt, who played at Colorado during his playing days, also emphasized that he feels the win was a step in the right direction for Colorado. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis team does show a little bit more than they did last year\u2026I was very critical of Colorado early in the season because I thought nothing has changed\u2026So, they have these elite players but I thought they haven\u2019t shown anything else, though,\u201d Klatt said. \u201cThe defense is still suspect and so on and so forth. Yet, you\u2019re starting to see a little bit of growth in areas outside of Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter<\/a><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shedeur Sanders calls Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi a hater<\/h2>\n

Following the game, Shedeur Sanders also called out Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi as being a hater and explained what happened after the game from his perspective.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter the game, I said something to the Colorado State quarterback. Because he was talking crazy on social media and he was really doing it for the clicks\u2026 I said what I had to say to him because he wasn\u2019t telling the truth in anything he was saying. It felt like a lot of hate, to me, personally. In life, if you\u2019re a hater, you\u2019ll never be able to succeed. Those who hate on people, I don\u2019t feel like God bless those kind of people because it\u2019s bad,\u201d Sanders said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody\u2019s path is different. Everybody has a different route. Jealousy and envy is the root of all evil. So, I\u2019m not ever going to be a hater towards anybody. And then he just went online, talking crazy. I never understood that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Colorado will look to put the Colorado State game behind them and focus on Big 12 play. That starts this week with a game against the Baylor Bears<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
