LSU<\/a><\/strong> and South Carolina<\/a><\/strong> got some top billing from ESPN, with College GameDay coming to Columbia for the weekend. And an early picture of who might be available \u2014\u00a0or not \u2014\u00a0on Saturday has come into focus.<\/p>\n

Both the Gamecocks and Tigers released initial availability reports on Wednesday, with a number of players for both teams listed. And the goal now moves to getting some of those players ready to go by Saturday.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Tigers head coach\u00a0Brian Kelly<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0revealed his initial impressions of South Carolina.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou look at what\u00a0Shane [Beamer]<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s done \u2014 he really gets his team to play well and particularly at home,\u201d\u00a0Kelly said.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cThey come off a really great road win against\u00a0Kentucky<\/a><\/strong>\u00a031-6. A lot of it is the type of offense they\u2019re running now with\u00a0[LaNorris] Sellers<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0at quarterback;\u00a0[Raheim] Sanders<\/a><\/strong>, the transfer from Arkansas;\u00a0Joshua Simon<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0at tight end.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a lackluster 23-19 win over\u00a0Old Dominion<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in Week 1, South Carolina looked excellent in its 31-6 blowout win over Kentucky. The Gamecocks\u2019 defense was particularly spectacular, holding the Wildcats\u2019 offense to 183 total yards.<\/p>\n

But coming off that win, Beamer doesn\u2019t want his team to be getting big heads.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe spotlight is is back on us, but we talked this morning that one of the keys for us this Saturday is we got to handle success the right way,\u201d\u00a0Beamer said<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot going on this week that we didn\u2019t have to deal with last week, or that we didn\u2019t get to deal with last week. It\u2019s a positive.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to get used to it, but we need to make sure that we\u2019re handling distractions the right way, and we also have to handle success the right way, and realize that the bandwagon, if you will, is getting full in a lot of ways. And, understanding that there\u2019s people that are on that bandwagon right now, that may jump right off the next time that things don\u2019t go well.<\/p>\n
