ESPN\u2019s Paul Finebaum<\/strong> predicted four SEC teams would make the College Football Playoff<\/strong><\/a> after watching Week 2 of the regular season.<\/p>\n

Now, he really wants to put a fifth team in there. However, Finebaum said four is more realistic by the end of the season.<\/p>\n

He spoke to Greg McElroy<\/a><\/strong> regarding his locks, as well as the teams that will also get in from the conference that says \u201cit just means more.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s so interesting, Greg, is (the AP Poll has SEC teams in) six of the top seven, and it still feels like a weird year in the SEC,\u201d Finebaum said on Always College Football<\/em><\/a>. \u201cEveryone after that has had some inexplicable loss, and which is pretty jarring to me. But I still think four can get to the playoffs. I think five is really a challenge, and I know SEC honks, easy for me to say, think they all deserve to be in. But I\u2019m trying to be realistic and respectful of the rest of college (football) and also think like the committee thinks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Finebaum is very high on No. 1 Georgia<\/strong><\/a> and No. 2 Texas<\/strong><\/a>. Those rankings reflect the current AP Poll.<\/p>\n

The mystery team, at least the one Finebaum can\u2019t quite figure out in the SEC, is Ole Miss<\/strong><\/a>. The remaining contenders are Tennessee,<\/strong><\/a> Alabama<\/strong><\/a> and Missouri<\/strong><\/a>, in some sort of combination.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s two (from the SEC) I would take with comfort, and there\u2019s one that remains a little bit of a mystery to me that could surprise us all,\u201d Finebaum said. \u201cObviously, Georgia and Texas are (seemingly) like maybe they\u2019re in a class of their own. The school I can\u2019t make up my mind about if they\u2019re going to play for the title or disappoint us is Ole Miss. They look really flawless right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I would take them as my third team and then try to sort it all out later with Tennessee, Alabama and Missouri, but that\u2019s where I am. I\u2019m going to stay with four. I know I\u2019m supposed to say 16 schools deserve to be in.<\/p>\n
