Cam\u2019Ron Silmon-Craig<\/a> exited Colorado\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> opener<\/a> early on Thursday night. After the game, Deion Sanders<\/a> had no update on his status either.<\/p>\n

Sanders shared that he didn\u2019t have any of the latest on the senior safety during his postgame press conference<\/a> after the 31-26 win for the Buffaloes over North Dakota State<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t. Not whatsoever,\u201d said<\/a> Sanders. \u201cHopefully they get me one soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

It was a sizeable loss for the Buffs\u2019 defense considering what Coach Prime says he brings to that unit.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a leader, he\u2019s a dog,\u201d Sanders said. \u201cHe\u2019s one of our defensive guys that, you know, losing a guy like that early in the game hurts. It did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Silmon-Craig followed Sanders by transferring<\/a> from Jackson State<\/a><\/strong>. He spent last season at Colorado where he appeared in all of their 12 games with 10 starts in their secondary. In his 673 snaps, he posted 44 tackles, a sack, and a tie for the team lead in interceptions with a trio.<\/p>\n

With the Buffs playing last night, Silmon-Craig will get an extra day or two to rest before next weekend\u2019s matchup against<\/a> Nebraska<\/a><\/strong> in Lincoln. However, as of now, there\u2019s no official word on him since he left the opener.<\/p>\n

After starting their season at 1-0 with a win over\u00a0North Dakota State\u00a0on Thursday, the\u00a0Colorado Buffaloes\u00a0will prepare to take on the\u00a0Nebraska Cornhuskers.<\/p>\n

The Cornhuskers will be playing\u00a0UTEP<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in their opener on Saturday so they\u2019ll be short an extra day of rest compared to the Buffaloes. However, the game will be played in Lincoln.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0lines listed by DraftKings Sportsbook<\/a>,\u00a0Deion Sanders\u00a0and the Buffaloes are opening as a 7-point underdog against\u00a0the \u2018Huskers and Matt Rhule<\/a>. The over\/under point total has not yet been revealed for the matchup.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an understandable line, especially after Colorado struggled with the Bison at times and with Nebraska as a bit of an unknown at the moment. Depending on how they play tomorrow, the line could certainly move in either direction.<\/p>\n
