In the 2025 season, the NASCAR<\/a> Playoffs will have a few new tracks added to the postseason, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. has ideas. There is nothing that the Hall of Famer would love to see more than more short tracks on the schedule. <\/p>\n

While the Next Gen car has put on all-time classic races on intermediate tracks, that isn\u2019t enough for Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR has its roots in short track racing, it is what stock car racing is built on. <\/p>\n

On the latest Dale Jr. Download<\/a><\/em>, Earnhardt talked about the NASCAR Playoffs and what he would like to see moving forward. <\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I wish there were more short tracks,\u201d Dale Jr. explained.<\/p>\n

When Andrew Kurland chimed in about the short track package being lackluster, Earnhardt responded. <\/p>\n

\u201cFix the package. Fix the package at Talladega, fix the short track package,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019re working on it. They\u2019re working on a short track package. If Denny Hamlin said, \u2018Hey, let\u2019s just run this red tire everywhere.\u2019 I think Denny\u2019s right. \u2026 Oh yeah, the tire for the short track stuff is where the answer is, where the biggest gains will be made. I like Denny\u2019s idea of trying to soft tire everywhere but I almost want to see them try the soft tire as the primary, the prime.\u201d <\/p>\n

More short tracks and softer tires. That is Dale Earnhardt Jr.\u2019s plan to make NASCAR great again. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, the soft tire should be the main tire and they should try to even go another giant step softer. \u2026 But it\u2019d probably wear out in 10 laps and not be worth a s**t. To Denny\u2019s point let\u2019s just run that red tire everywhere. At Phoenix, come on.\u201d <\/p>\n

Whatever NASCAR can do to improve the racing at Phoenix, I\u2019ll welcome. <\/p>\n

Dale Earnahardt Jr. impressed with Ryan Truex victory<\/h2>\n

Among the many\u00a0NASCAR<\/a>\u00a0fans watching Ryan Truex win at Daytona was none other than Dale Earnhardt Jr. While his JR Motorsports drivers weren\u2019t able to come away with the win, it appears Dale Jr. is happy with the result tonight.<\/p>\n

For the second time in only eight starts this season,\u00a0Ryan Truex is a winner in the Xfinity Series<\/a>. Despite his brother being so successful in NASCAR, Ryan has forged his own path in the sport.<\/p>\n

Over the years he has driven many different cars. In celebration of this win, Dale Earnhardt Jr.\u00a0pulled out an old koozie<\/a>, merch for Truex in a previous ride. I bet he had an ice-cold Budweiser Select 55 in that koozie to celebrate.<\/p>\n

Of course, Dale Jr. would have liked to have seen one of his drivers win this race. But it didn\u2019t happen. There will be other opportunities. Besides, Justin Allgaier scored a ton of points and swept the stages on Friday. That is a good consolation for Earnhardt and his organization.<\/p>\n
