I\u2019m not sure on Wynn, I haven\u2019t heard much there.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sanders jumped his timeline by a little over 24 hours to commit to Texas A&M. Personally, I think there\u2019s some easy accounting to do there for why that was. If I\u2019m right about that then this recruitment has shades of Josiah Sharma<\/a><\/strong>. Sharma, you\u2019ll remember, was very, very close to picking Texas before selecting Oregon. We wrote a lot about how Texas was the pick and his personal favorite, how Kenny Baker \u201cwon\u201d the recruitment but lost the commitment.\u00a0<\/p>\n While we haven\u2019t written the exact same about Sanders \u2014 we never wrote he was that close to picking Texas, though we should have \u2014 we have written that Kenny Baker<\/a><\/strong> did a very good job of connecting with Sanders and his family. That first occurred on a visit to Bellville and then it really occurred on Sanders\u2019 official visit.\u00a0<\/p>\n I would not lose hope on this recruitment but a motivated A&M will of course be a formidable foe.\u00a0<\/p>\n *****<\/p>\n I have no clue what will happen with Zion Williams<\/a><\/strong>. First thing is continuing to build a strong enough relationship that he\u2019ll take his official visit this fall. You\u2019d think that wouldn\u2019t be too hard given Texas is hosting Georgia on October 18th.\u00a0<\/p>\n There were interesting circumstances surrounding his canceled Texas official visit this June. Assuming the reasoning we heard was on the level, there\u2019s nothing to worry about. If there is more to it, LSU might have a kung-fu grip on this recruitment and could have been behind his canceled visit. <\/p>\n Due to the strength of his relationship with Bo Davis this will be a tough flip no matter what but Texas and LSU are likely to have pretty disparate seasons while LSU continues to rebuild its defense.\u00a0I also think Williams profiles well to Texas in general, just as a student. <\/p>\n *****<\/p>\n If LSU has a kung-fu grip on Williams, Florida State has a carpal tunnel grip on Myron Charles<\/a><\/strong>.
