When senior Ole Miss tight end Caden Prieskorn<\/a><\/strong> is asked about the depth of the Rebel tight ends, his face lights up like it\u2019s Christmas morning and he just got a new bicycle.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is by far the most depth I\u2019ve ever been associated with in college,\u201d Prieskorn said, who is a preseason All-SEC selection. \u201cWe\u2019ve got eight guys in the tight end room and they all bring value to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

Besides Prieskorn, the prominent, experienced tight ends are junior Hudson Wolfe<\/a><\/strong> and Virginia Tech transfer junior Dae\u2019Quan Wright<\/a><\/strong>, who is now healthy after being limited in spring drills.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great seeing Hudson healthy. He\u2019s had a great summer and I\u2019m so happy for him to be healthy because he has battled back issues for so long,\u201d Caden continued. \u201cDae\u2019Quan has come in here and worked hard, doing the right things in the weight room. He\u2019s pushed Hudson and me, which is a good thing. The way he works in the weight room and on the field, we have a lot of similarities.<\/p>\n

\u201cDae\u2019Quan has done a good job of learning the offense and he builds on what he has learned every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prieskorn also has praise for the true freshman on board, Dillon Hipp<\/a><\/strong>, a 6-6 240-pounder who was at Ole Miss during spring but was also limited due to injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cDillon has the potential to be a really good player. He works hard and learns quickly, but he\u2019s got to go through the learning curve like all freshmen,\u201d Prieskorn noted. \u201cHe\u2019s got good size and a good work ethic and that\u2019s a great start to a college career.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Caden, nobody is a finished product. He has things to work on also.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I did a lot better job this offseason of taking care of my body and getting better prepared for the season. I have always tried to do that, but this offseason I think it clicked more,\u201d he continued. \u201cI did extra work, extra treatment, watched my diet. I feel really good running and feel I am in my best shape.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to lose a little weight, which has helped my running, and I am even a lot stronger than I was when I was heavier. I am now about 257 from 265 and I feel great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prieskorn has two \u201cjobs.\u201d He\u2019s a football player by day, so to speak, and a dad by night.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s got a 3-year old son named Mac and a 3-month old girl named Romy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are everything to me,\u201d he closed.<\/p>\n

Prieskorn caught 30 passes for 449 yards and 4 touchdowns a year ago while playing in 10 games after injuring his foot in fall camp and missing a couple of outings. A third of his catches came against Penn State in the Peach Bowl win.<\/p>\n

It took him most of last season to \u201cfeel like myself again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, fingers crossed, he enters his final collegiate season in great health and great spirits.<\/p>\n

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin<\/a><\/strong> has always been known for using the tight ends at his disposal liberally.<\/p>\n

With Prieskorn, Wolfe and Wright, he\u2019s got legitimate options this season.<\/p>\n
