Chinanu Onuaku is sorry he spit on Nate Sestina<\/a>. Losing yet another game to Kentucky apparently does that to a man.<\/p>\n

The former Louisville forward took to social media this afternoon to apologize for hocking a loogie at Sestina in the aftermath of La Familia\u2019s 70-61 win over The Ville<\/a> in The Basketball Tournament quarterfinals. The altercation began when Onuaku told Sestina, who had a team-high 22 points vs. the former Cards, to stop doing the Ls Down gesture in Freedom Hall. Sestina said, \u2018Alright,\u2019 patted him on the back, and walked away. Onuaku chased after him and spat in his face, sparking the fight we\u2019ve been talking about since.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to apologize for my actions following last night\u2019s game,\u201d Onuaku tweeted. \u201cI let my emotions and pride for my university overcome me in the moment. I love my UofL and I love this town. L\u2019s up\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

That\u2019s a far cry from Onuaku\u2019s tweets last night, which are still up. <\/p>\n

\u201cI asked him not to do something that disrespects the university I went too and he calls me a bitch but he doesn\u2019t want to talk about that part,\u201d Onuaku tweeted at 1:48 a.m. ET<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy how one side of a story is always heard.\u201d <\/p>\n

Thanks to camera phones, all sides of the story were seen and heard. In addition to spitting, Onuaku threw around some pretty bad words.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmotions ran high, that\u2019s what this game does to people,\u201d Sestina said of the incident in the postgame press conference. \u201cIt had been great chatter the whole game, nothing crazy, nothing personal. And then it got personal, obviously. Ls down versus Ls up, that\u2019s what this game is. (Onuaku) was just like, \u2018Don\u2019t do Ls down in here\u2019 and I was just like \u2018All right.\u2019 Ls down always.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then he walked away and stepped at me or whatever, I backwards turned, and then he spit in my face. Mr. Onuaku. I\u2019m gonna leave it at that. Nothing crazy, spit at me. That\u2019s on him.\u201c<\/p>\n

Mr. Onuaku has apologized. I\u2019m sure Sestina will accept it. Daniel Orton? I\u2019m not so sure.<\/p>\n
