{"id":6138,"date":"2023-05-27T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-27T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demo.wztzfm.com\/wp\/?p=6138"},"modified":"2023-05-27T10:00:00","modified_gmt":"2023-05-27T15:00:00","slug":"miami-4-star-commit-chance-robinson-locks-in-hurricanes-official-visit-with-in-state-rival-in-pursuit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.wztzfm.com\/wp\/miami-4-star-commit-chance-robinson-locks-in-hurricanes-official-visit-with-in-state-rival-in-pursuit\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami 4-star commit Chance Robinson locks in Hurricanes official visit with in-state rival in pursuit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/miami-hurricanes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miami<\/a><\/strong> 2024 four-star receiver commit <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/db\/chance-robinson-19820\/recruiting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chance Robinson<\/a><\/strong> is still receiving serious recruiting efforts from several programs, although he remains locked in with the <strong>Hurricanes<\/strong> after scheduling an official visit to Coral Gables.<\/p>\n<p>Robinson will take his official visit to Miami June 23 after visiting <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/penn-state-nittany-lions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Penn State<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/florida-gators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a><\/strong> earlier in the month. The Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas product is the No. 135 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, No. 24 receiver and currently Miami\u2019s highest-ranked commit in the 2024 recruiting class.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s home,\u201d the 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver said about his official visit to the Hurricanes. \u201cI\u2019ve always got to go back home and show the family love. That was locked in stone, that was set in stone, and I had to get back down there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Hurricanes are still recruiting Robinson with the same intensity as before he committed at Miami\u2019s spring game April 14, he said, and \u201ceverything is the same\u201d in terms of his communication with the staff. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s not a day I don\u2019t pick up my phone and they\u2019re not saying something to me,\u201d Robinson said. \u201cIt\u2019s family, it\u2019s love over there just talking with those guys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other programs, specifically Florida and Penn State, are \u201cjust trying to show (Robinson) something different\u201d and trying to pry Robinson\u2019s attention away from Coral Gables. He remains locked in with Miami but is still open to hearing from other programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/teams\/miami-hurricanes\/news\/jason-taylor-jahmile-addae-stop-at-st-thomas-aquinas-to-check-up-on-miami-commit-chance-robinson-elite-defensive-prospects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jason Taylor, Jahmile Addae stop at St. Thomas Aquinas to check up on Miami commit Chance Robinson, elite defensive prospects<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201c(Florida) has been on the trail hard, and I appreciate a lot of those guys over there too,\u201d Robinson said. \u201cI\u2019m gonna check them out. They\u2019ve been talking to me every day as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Several other programs communicate with Robinson as much as Miami, he said, but added his head is straight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CaneSport\u2019s Take<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Miami been the frontrunner throughout Robinson\u2019s recruitment, and very little is changing.
