Duncanville<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver\u00a0Dakorien Moore<\/a><\/strong> will announce his commitment on Thursday, July 4, per On3\u2019s Hayes Fawcett.<\/p>\n

He will choose between Oregon, LSU, Ohio State and Texas.<\/p>\n

The 5-foot-11, 186-pounder decommitted from LSU in May after having been pledged to the Tigers since August. Texas, Ohio State and Oregon have been solidly in the mix following his decommitment, and each received an official visit in June. <\/p>\n

And despite backing off his pledge to Brian Kelly and Co., Moore returned to Baton Rouge for an official visit last month as well. <\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s the in-state Longhorns who are trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM)<\/a> heading into his second commitment decision. <\/p>\n

Moore previously broke down each of his top four schools<\/h2>\n

At the On3 Elite Series event in late May, Moore talked about each of the schools remaining in his recruitment, including what he hoped to see from LSU prior to his visit there. <\/p>\n

Ohio State<\/strong>: I love how competitive they are. That was the first thing I noticed when I stepped foot on campus. I could just feel the energy when I walked through the facility. Then after watching practice, I saw evervody have the same focus. They all locked in on football and want to win. They\u2019re a big family, and it\u2019s big city out there. Not too rowdy, it\u2019s kind of calm but there\u2019s stuff to do out there. And they have a huge fan base and a lot of support out there.<\/p>\n

Texas<\/strong>: It\u2019s always going to be home. It\u2019s close to family, so that\u2019s one major thing it could come down to when I\u2019m thinking about Texas. Obviously they got great NIL, everybody knows that. But I\u2019m looking forward to seeing something else besides that and seeing what they\u2019ve got to show me. They\u2019ve developed players since they pulled them in, and even players that haven\u2019t been so big out of high school.<\/p>\n

Oregon<\/strong>: I love how open I can be when I\u2019m out there. Their uniforms and their style, they\u2019re just different. It\u2019s unique, and it\u2019s not really comparable to any other school I\u2019m looking at. I just think they have great coaches in general. Coach Lanning knows how to judge people, and he is a good judge of character. And he\u2019s really good at building relationships and getting people to trust him. I feel like that reels the great players in. And with Coach Adams, he\u2019s just a well-rounded good coach, good mentor and a good person to be around.<\/p>\n

LSU<\/strong>: \u201cI haven\u2019t seen everything that I need to with LSU. They were kind of behind in the beginning, even though I\u2019ve been down there numerous times and stuff like that. All three of my other schools showed me a lot upfront, and I feel like LSU was behind so I need to see more from them. I\u2019m taking this visit to see that.<\/p>\n

\u2026 I need to see how they develop their players outside of just football, and obviously they have a great program \u2014 some of the greats have come from there. But I want to see something outside of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moore is the No. 3 overall prospect, No.1 wide receiver and top recruit from Texas in the 2025 cycle according to the\u00a0On3 Industry Ranking<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.<\/p>\n
