Sir Mohammed<\/a><\/strong>, a four-star small forward in the class of 2024, has set the following three official visits: Marquette<\/strong> on June 5-7, Notre Dame<\/strong> on June 18-19, and Virginia Tech<\/strong> on July 28-30. <\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6 junior out of Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park is the No. 88 overall player in the\u00a02024 On3 Industry Ranking<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mohammed recently discussed the Golden Eagles, the Fighting Irish, and Hokies in a recent interview with On3.<\/p>\n

Mohammed talks Marquette, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and others involved<\/h2>\n

Marquette<\/strong>: \u201cTheir staff has been great to me so far. You know, they\u2019ve been here watching me, and they came in on an in-home visit, and I really just connected with their coaches. You saw their success this year, so I trust what they\u2019re doing there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notre Dame<\/strong>: \u201cMy relationship with Coach\u00a0(Micah) Shrewsberry<\/a>\u00a0has been great the whole time, even throughout the switch. I love the staff there. He sees me as a lead guard who can do a lot on the floor. He sees me doing a lot of the same things I do with Team Curry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Virginia Tech<\/strong>: \u201cFor me,\u00a0Virginia Tech<\/strong>\u00a0has been on me since I was a pup. They started talking to us in the fall of my sophomore year. They\u2019ve made me feel like family. And they trust me as a lead guard. A lot of schools don\u2019t think I\u2019m a lead guard. I appreciate them for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mohammed has previously taken official visits to Penn State (old staff) and Stanford.<\/p>\n

Stanford<\/strong>: \u201cTheir guys there are really cool. The coaching staff at\u00a0Stanford<\/strong>\u00a0is amazing. They\u2019ve been on me really hard. I really enjoyed my time there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Villanova is also involved with the four-star junior. <\/p>\n

Villanova<\/strong>: \u201cMy relationship with\u00a0Kyle Neptune<\/a>\u00a0is amazing. At the same time, it is a program like\u00a0Villanova<\/strong>, so how can you not be interested in playing there? They are such a prestigious program that just wins basketball games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mohammed knows what he\u2019s looking for in a program<\/h2>\n

\u201cDevelopment is going to be important to me,\u201d Mohammed said. \u201cBut honestly, the relationships will play the biggest part for me. Playing for a coach who cares about me and cares about my family and sees me as a really good basketball player who can come in and help day one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to play for a coach who knows my game as well as I know my game. A coach who sees me as being a guy who can help them win day one and a national championship. I want to play for a coach who really cares for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scouting Report<\/h2>\n

\u201cSir Mohammed has good length with a projectable frame. The most interesting part of the 6-foot-6 forwards game is his passing. Mohammed has excellent court vision, with great tough on his on-target and on-time deliveries. While he is an average athlete, which may create questions on who he guards, he is a smart team defender who understands angles. He has a consistent release on his jump shot, but it has a tendency to flatten out and is inconsistent. He can attack closeouts in straight lines and is a good area rebounder. Mohammed\u2019s dad, Nazr Mohammed, played in the NBA for 18 years.\u201d \u2013 On3\u2019s Jamie Shaw<\/p>\n
