USC running backs coach Anthony Jones Jr.<\/a><\/strong> is two-for-two on the recruiting trail as the Trojans landed a commitments this Spring from top RB targets Daune Morris<\/a><\/strong> and Riley Wormley<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Both verbal pledges came following unofficial visits.<\/p>\n

The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Wormley was the first running back to receive an offer from Jones following his move from TCU to USC.\u00a0Morris was offered during the same timeframe.<\/p>\n

Wormley is another Texas-based running back to commit to USC. The Southlake Carroll standout rushed for 901 yards and 19 touchdowns on just 85 carries during his 2023 junior season. He also caught nine passes for 123 yards. <\/p>\n

He\u2019s ranked as the No. 396 overall prospect and No. 32 running back in the\u00a02025 On3 Industry Rankings<\/a>. And Wormley holds an impressive offer sheet, including ones from\u00a0Ole Miss<\/a>,\u00a0Oklahoma<\/a>,\u00a0Oregon<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Shutting things down after USC official visit<\/h2>\n

Last weekend Wormley took his USC official visit with 18 other prospects, including fellow commits Julian Lewis<\/a><\/strong> and Romero Ison<\/a><\/strong>. One of the results of that visit was the decision to shut down his recruitment. <\/p>\n

\u201cI experienced a culture that felt like family,\u201d said Wormley. \u201cUSC is rising program and will continue to rise throughout these next few years. I\u2019m not going to take any other visits, but I should be back for a (USC) game during the season.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

He\u2019s scheduled to join a running back room in 2025 that will feature plenty of Texas talent. USC\u2019s\u00a0Quinten Joyner<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0A\u2019Marion Peterson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0both signed in the 2023 class and the Trojans landed\u00a0Bryan Jackson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0out of Texas in the 2024 class.<\/p>\n

2025 Commits (13)<\/h2>\n

USC currently has 13 verbal commits from the class of 2025. Justus Terry<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Isaiah Gibson<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Julian \u201cJuJu\u201d Lewis<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Drake Stubbs<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Matai Tagoa\u2019i<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Romero Ison<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Harry Dalton<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Trestin Castro<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Gus Cordova<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Willi Wascher<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Hayden Lowe,<\/a> Daune Morris<\/a><\/strong> and Wormley. That list will grow in the coming weeks barring any surprises.<\/p>\n\n
