The team, made up of JaMeesia Ford, Cynteria James, Zaya Akins, and Jahnile Registre finished with the fourth best time in Friday\u2019s preliminaries and improved on their time enough to earn them a top-three finish. Their performance earned them First Team All-American honors.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gcon3.com\/$1\"><strong>[GamecockCentral for $1: In-depth coverage and a great community]<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n\n<p>South Carolina was also represented in the 4\u00d7400-meter relay. With roughly two seconds being the difference between second place and eighth place, the Gamecocks finished in sixth. Despite where they placed, their 3:24:86 performance is the fastest 4\u00d7400-meter relay time in program history. Ford earned silver after running a blistering time of 22.08 while Jamison came in fourth place with a time of 22.26. Not only were their times good enough to earn them First Team All-American honors, but they were all the two fastest 200-meter times in Gamecock women\u2019s history. <\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"dD3rqzlnCa8W9XL1PJiIMReYVEs5b7Buthx6g0AGm\">\n<p>What a race!! Placing 15th as a team is their best finish at nationals since coming tenth place in 2019. Led by first year coach Tim Hall, the 2023-24 season is now officially over for South Carolina.
